  1. Why do you people like having icons and things on the desktop? I can't stand that. It clutters up my wallpaper.

    1. @jessi YES! 10/10

Tuesday, 04-Jun-13 21:59:27 UTC from web
    2. @jessi Because I want my desktop to be a quick start place, with shortcuts to open what I regularly use and basic information on the performance of the computer.

      1. @nerthos I can do that. I have a global keyboard shortcut to open terminal.

        1. @rotation I have configurable keyboard buttons, but having a selection of icons to recently played games on my desktop makes deciding what to play easier.

      2. @nerthos I have an omni-search box that slides out from the right side of my screen on my PC. I just type what I want to look for. (Windows 8)

        1. @jessi Ew, Windows 8.

          1. @flamingpandaomg Eww icon clutter Windows 7 XD

            1. @jessi HAVE AT YE.

Tuesday, 04-Jun-13 22:05:23 UTC from web
            2. @jessi Also, clutter? I have 10 icons and they're not even disturbing the wallpaper. XD

Tuesday, 04-Jun-13 22:06:05 UTC from web
              1. @flamingpandaomg I personally hate desktop icons.

Tuesday, 04-Jun-13 22:06:44 UTC from web
              2. @flamingpandaomg They are there, that is clutter enough. It's not clean. If you have a completely empty floor but with 10 small piles of stuff organised in the side, is the room clean? No. It's messy.

Tuesday, 04-Jun-13 22:07:28 UTC from web
                1. @scoot But they're not considered piles.

Tuesday, 04-Jun-13 22:08:06 UTC from web
                  1. @flamingpandaomg Up to interpretation. I think they are a mess, a cluster of files, a pile of stuff.

Tuesday, 04-Jun-13 22:09:34 UTC from web
          2. @flamingpandaomg My apps and files are hidden like on an Android phone. :3

Tuesday, 04-Jun-13 22:05:24 UTC from web
        2. @jessi That's still two more steps in the way. Also you need to know what you're looking for.

Tuesday, 04-Jun-13 22:05:22 UTC from web
          1. @nerthos Not really. It's not much different than clicking on your Start menu, except that mine is more dynamic.

Tuesday, 04-Jun-13 22:06:10 UTC from web
            1. @jessi It's more like using a phone than using a computer. Therefore, ew.

Tuesday, 04-Jun-13 22:06:37 UTC from web
              1. @nerthos And? You use a smartphone don't you? You don't seem to be complaining about tapping away on it.

Tuesday, 04-Jun-13 22:07:27 UTC from web
                1. @jessi Nerthos doesn't use a smart phone. He has an old cell phone. XD

Tuesday, 04-Jun-13 22:07:49 UTC from web
                  1. @flamingpandaomg A brick phone. XD

Tuesday, 04-Jun-13 22:08:13 UTC from web
                  2. @flamingpandaomg @jessi It's basically a phone-palm hybrid from back in the day, when proper touch screens still existed.

Tuesday, 04-Jun-13 22:09:18 UTC from web
                    1. @nerthos Less good.

Tuesday, 04-Jun-13 22:09:48 UTC from web
                      1. @rotation It was cheap enough back in the day and it covers all my needs. I always liked clam phones more, but there was none in a proper price range that had all the stuff I wanted.

Tuesday, 04-Jun-13 22:11:07 UTC from web
                2. @jessi No, I don't use a smartphone.

Tuesday, 04-Jun-13 22:08:00 UTC from web
                  1. @nerthos Good lad.

Tuesday, 04-Jun-13 22:08:27 UTC from web
                  2. @nerthos Besides, I'm using a Windows Surface Pro. So my computer essentially IS a touchscreen mobile device. :3

                    1. @jessi Le eew.

                      1. @nerthos You keep saying eww, but all of your friends around you probably have iPhones or Androids. :3

                          1. @flamingpandaomg Honestly? Who even uses one of those?

Tuesday, 04-Jun-13 22:11:20 UTC from web
                            1. @jessi I've seen... one person trying to use it.

Tuesday, 04-Jun-13 22:11:58 UTC from web
                              1. @flamingpandaomg Now THATS deserving of an eww.

Tuesday, 04-Jun-13 22:12:21 UTC from web
                              2. @flamingpandaomg Androids and iPhones are the master race. :D

                            2. @jessi I believe @ceruleanspark does

                            3. @jessi Me.

                        2. @jessi Not really.

Tuesday, 04-Jun-13 22:11:20 UTC from web
                        3. @jessi "Numbers makes right" is a concept that has brought humanity enough problems not to be taken seriously.

Tuesday, 04-Jun-13 22:13:56 UTC from web
                          1. @nerthos "Refusing to adapt" is what caused a lot of problems with human advancement.

Tuesday, 04-Jun-13 22:17:22 UTC from web
                            1. @jessi And yet adapting has brought us to our current situation, when your life can be taken away in an instant by someone without any actual skill.

Tuesday, 04-Jun-13 22:19:15 UTC from web
                              1. @nerthos I'm not about to even start a psychological argument with you. For one, its immature and two, its pointless and leads to no answers and no one being right.

Tuesday, 04-Jun-13 22:20:26 UTC from web
                                1. @jessi For once I must agree with you. You can keep going with the current technological trend, and I can continue using a mixture of modern and archaic technology, becasue for each of us that's the best route.

Tuesday, 04-Jun-13 22:22:08 UTC from web
                                  1. @nerthos Holy crap, I think I've just witnessed the first fight for days that actually ended peacefully. #

Tuesday, 04-Jun-13 22:22:58 UTC from web
                                    1. @flamingpandaomg Welp, so much for that.

Tuesday, 04-Jun-13 22:23:42 UTC from web
                                    2. @flamingpandaomg What happened is that it wasn't an actual fight.

Tuesday, 04-Jun-13 22:24:05 UTC from web
                                      1. @nerthos It was a remotely heated argument.

Tuesday, 04-Jun-13 22:24:53 UTC from web
                                        1. @flamingpandaomg But arguments only turn into fights when there's idiots involved.

Tuesday, 04-Jun-13 22:25:37 UTC from web
                                          1. @nerthos It doesn't matter what kind of people are arguing against each other. Arguments are pointless. Debating on the other hand, is a more mature approach.

Tuesday, 04-Jun-13 22:27:00 UTC from web
                                            1. @jessi But debating requires an objective, and is usually aimed around obtaining a better understaning of the topic, whereas arguing is to defend a specific point.

Tuesday, 04-Jun-13 22:30:47 UTC from web
                                              1. @nerthos I'm logging off. You're pretty much trying to start up another argument of some sort.

Tuesday, 04-Jun-13 22:32:48 UTC from web
                                                1. @jessi Not really. Bye

Tuesday, 04-Jun-13 22:33:40 UTC from web
                                    3. @flamingpandaomg Arguing is pointless. It's nothing but an ego trip with one sided, close minded opinions being spewed back and forth.

Tuesday, 04-Jun-13 22:24:24 UTC from web
