@swiftperception I won't concede to the superiority of pc games until The Legend of Zelda series becomes pc-exclusive
-
@prettypurpleprincesspublicprincesstimeline wel you can play every zelda created on pc Via Emulator
-
@prettypurpleprincesspublicprincesstimeline Exclusives suuuck.
-
@swiftperception but not exclusively
-
@swiftperception It wasn't MADE for it though. It was created for Nintendo consoles / handhelds.
-
@nerthos exclusives make me decide what I buy. If there's an exclusive I need to play, that's the system I choose. Because I typically can only ever afford one system. So in the order of gens, it was NES SNES PS1 PS2 (this gen was an exception because I nabbed a gamecube for $50 on the side) PS3 and unless PS4 has some amaaaazing exclusives, I'm getting a wii-u
-
@swiftperception >"master PC Gaming Race" >>>/v/
-
@prettypurpleprincesspublicprincesstimeline I don't buy consoles that rely on exclusives because honestly I consider it a d*** move. Instead of relying on their console being actually better, they just go with "No, you can only play if you buy THIS, the fact that the other guy's console is twice as fast is irrelevant"
-
@nerthos like I said, if it's a game I want to enjoy, I buy the system. If I'm a zelda fan why would I waste money on an xbox? Makes no sense. While in a perfect world it would be nice if every system had every game, we don't get to make those choices. I don't have an issue with exclusives because I make my purchases very carefully. I largely got the ps3 for its exclusives and haven
-
@nerthos haven't regretted it at all. Everything I like on the 360 is also on the ps3, and its exclusives don't entice me much. My friend has a wii and he lets me play it whenever, otherwise I would have bought a wii instead. Of course now a wii is so dirt cheap it doesn't matter.
-
@prettypurpleprincesspublicprincesstimeline Banjo-Kazooie Nuts & Bolts is the only reason to own a 360
-
@redenchilada I was going to say that Tales of Vesperia is the only 360 game that makes me question my purchasing policy
-
@redenchilada What about sonic 06?
-
@oshawott I hear that's even more hilarious on PS3 though
-
@oshawott AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Oh wait.. are you being serious? AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
-
@prettypurpleprincesspublicprincesstimeline But really. I borrow my brother's 360 occasionally to play N&B (and occasionally a bit of Forza, if I already have the console out in the living room) and I never touch it otherwise.
-
@prettypurpleprincesspublicprincesstimeline I have a Wii because at the time it was the only one with cool motion-based controls.
-
@nerthos 'cool'.
-
@nerthos ps3's motion plus left me wanting
-
@flamingpandaomg The Wii has good motion controls when they're used properly. But so many games (even first-party ones!) misused them.
-
@redenchilada so much wasted potential. :c
-
@flamingpandaomg They were pretty cool back in the day. Even now I'm kind of tired of stationary gaming.
-
@prettypurpleprincesspublicprincesstimeline I'll be honest and say I never tried it.
-
@nerthos Too bad they weren't used well, and got dated very quickly.
-
@flamingpandaomg All novel technology ages quickly.
-
@flamingpandaomg But you can't deny WarioWare Smooth Moves was the best thing. Heck, the pointer function gets a lot of nice use in games.
-
@redenchilada I haven't played a WarioWare game since the DS. :\
-
@flamingpandaomg Which DS game though? Touched or DIY? Get DIY if you haven't.
-
@redenchilada Um.. touched, I think. And I have several games that are in line to be purchased first. XD
-
@redenchilada Shooters in Wii can be amazing
-
@nerthos The Wii is literally the only place to play lightgun shooters on consoles and it's the best thing
-
@redenchilada Man I loved lightgun so much. Why is it not a thing anymore. I think I'll dust my brother's famicon clone and play some Hogan's Alley.
-
@nerthos It's one of the things that sadly got lost when arcades went down in popularity. Like dancey games. Dancey games and lightgun shooters are what I still hunt for arcades for.
-
@redenchilada There's some in this arcade a couple blocks from my house. Still I don't ike the whole "Put a ot of coins into a machine" thing.
-
@nerthos *lot
