    1. @nerthos I'd kiss it

      1. @critialcloudkicker I want to hug that snake

Tuesday, 11-Jun-13 23:25:51 UTC from web
        1. @nerthos That snake would probably like to squeeze you good

          1. @critialcloudkicker Wear armor. Problem solved.

            1. @nerthos You know that armour has no protection against impact, suffocation, drowning, and a negative bonus against overheating right ? ... but on the plus side of things... You do not get bitten... As if you had to be worried about that

              1. @critialcloudkicker unless you have magical string

                1. @ninnelives The magical string of endless breath ? I thought it was a myth created by people in the service industry so that they could have a monopoly on all sorts of blowing activities

              2. @critialcloudkicker Depends on the type. Some chestplates give some degree of protection against crushing.

                1. @nerthos Tell that to me mighty warhammer :D

                  1. @critialcloudkicker Constriction is not the same as blunt impact

                    1. @nerthos crushing is crushing... Wether by sudden hard impact, or walls with spikes coming together really REALLY slowly

Tuesday, 11-Jun-13 23:34:55 UTC from web
                      1. @critialcloudkicker But the way the force is applied is different.

                        1. @nerthos Crushing is crushing

                      2. @critialcloudkicker A dynamic effort causes more strain than a static one

                        1. @nerthos Tell that to your armour

                          1. @critialcloudkicker I'm an electromechanic technician. Studying the way metals strain under different types of effort is a must to graduate.

Tuesday, 11-Jun-13 23:39:04 UTC from web
                            1. @nerthos I was more thinking along the lines of "howmuch crushing in any way or form or another can a body withstand before things are going to fail"

Tuesday, 11-Jun-13 23:49:09 UTC from web
                              1. @critialcloudkicker Yeah, enough force will always break things, but different ways to apply that force will require more or less of it to reach the breaking point.

Tuesday, 11-Jun-13 23:51:38 UTC from web
                                1. @nerthos So in Warhammer VS Snake... The Snake is more lethal... Would you not agree ?

Tuesday, 11-Jun-13 23:53:36 UTC from web
                                  1. @critialcloudkicker Against a full set of armor that doesn't allow biting and is properly cushioned and measured for your body? No. The snake will only make it slightly more difficult to breathe, whilst the warhammer will completely deform the armor and crush your ribs.

Tuesday, 11-Jun-13 23:55:58 UTC from web
                                    1. @nerthos You do know that snakes have an unbelievable crushing power right ? I doubt that you could tailor an anti-snacke-crushing-armour... Unless if you made the armour in such a way that it would kill the snake.

Wednesday, 12-Jun-13 00:00:01 UTC from web
                                      1. @critialcloudkicker I'm talking about the same strenght. A snake delivering the same amount of force via constricting than a warhammer in a single blow.

Wednesday, 12-Jun-13 00:01:46 UTC from web
                                        1. @nerthos I think that if you take the crushing force in Newton of a warhammer being swung by a minotaur is about the same crushing-snake force as being hugged by a body-builder who does not know his own strength *2... And nobody died from hugs as far as I know

Wednesday, 12-Jun-13 00:03:38 UTC from web
                                          1. @critialcloudkicker But we're not talking about minotaurs. If we're going for stupidly big forces, sure, the armor will always give away.

Wednesday, 12-Jun-13 00:05:14 UTC from web
                                            1. @nerthos No we are talking about crushing force. And the crushing force of a snake is always lethal... But it takes time...

Wednesday, 12-Jun-13 00:06:33 UTC from web
                                              1. @critialcloudkicker It is only lethal if it has enough strenght to deform the plates. That is, of course, if the chestplate is designed to properly distribute the effort. If there's just a gap in the sides, the snake WILL kill you.

Wednesday, 12-Jun-13 00:07:57 UTC from web
                                                1. @nerthos If you properly distribute all of the effort, Possibly, But I still say that given enough time and effort on the snake's side you will succumb to either; not enough air, not enough water, or not enough food.

Wednesday, 12-Jun-13 00:10:09 UTC from web
                                                  1. @critialcloudkicker If the snake is able to deliver rushing force for three days straight without pause nor anyone noticing, then sure, it'll kill me.

Wednesday, 12-Jun-13 00:11:36 UTC from web
                                                    1. @nerthos Snakes like the Boa Constrictor have absolutely NO difficulty to keep the strain on for that long, or even longer, and the ammount of force they can generate goes up to roughly 500 strong body builder hugs I read once

Wednesday, 12-Jun-13 00:13:59 UTC from web
                                                      1. @critialcloudkicker I'm sorry, but is a strong body builder hug even a measurement?

Wednesday, 12-Jun-13 00:14:32 UTC from web
                                                        1. @flamingpandaomg It was not really a scientific book or anything. Still how would you measure it ? ... Put a piece of ham next to a boa constrictor and then sample the ham to see how chewy it became ?

Wednesday, 12-Jun-13 00:15:40 UTC from web
                                                          1. @critialcloudkicker um... there's a scientific unit of measurement for force. XD

Wednesday, 12-Jun-13 00:16:15 UTC from web
                                                            1. @flamingpandaomg Newton ? For snakes ? How would you go and do that ?

Wednesday, 12-Jun-13 00:16:43 UTC from web
                                                              1. @critialcloudkicker ... you have the snake squeeze a tool that can measure force or pressure, don't remember which.. They've done it before.

Wednesday, 12-Jun-13 00:17:38 UTC from web

Wednesday, 12-Jun-13 00:18:23 UTC from web
                                                      2. @critialcloudkicker I'm not planning on entering a jungle any time soon so I'm pretty sure somebody will see the scene and call the cops way before I starve.
