      1. @minti Two minutes after I needed you. :c Welcomepony crashes with some error about --enable-posix directives when I try to run it properly, but it works if I use --no-daemon. I'm assuming you know what the problem could be since you ran her before?

        1. @redenchilada PHP Needs the Posix extension for my script to actually run as a Daemon iirc. If you don't wanna run it as daemon you can just install screen and run it from a new screen window detached from ssh in non-dameon mode though. Despite how complicated this sounds it's actually a LOT easier than getting the posix extension. Probably.

          1. @minti ...Explain how, to someone who's literally never messed with this kind of thing before today?

                    1. @redenchilada :p I REALLY prefer Debian over .. what ever distro yum is usually used on. CentOS? But that's personal preference cause it's what I'm use to using soo.

                      1. @minti what is the advantage of CentOS? I'm curious because my school used it for a while.

                        1. @pony You'd have to ask someone else. All I know is that CentOS is a lot more for the people who like to customize the system down to the very bare bones compared to other distros where a lot of stuff is pre-baked which makes it easier to use off the bat but generally slower as it has a lot of useless clutter in the kernel etc. I think. xD

                          1. @minti well that would explain it then. The labs needed the speed it seems.
