    I wish there was a way to stop programs from being able to create desktop shortcuts. Literally everything I install wants to add one and I always remove them right after.

      @redenchilada most isntallers have a "Add desktop shortcut" option that you can tick off

        @nerthos Some of them don't, though, which is the problem.

      @redenchilada Usually you can tell the program not to add shortcuts during the installation process.
