  1. I literally haven't heard this much whining about newer installments of games being bad since I stopped being actively involved in the Sonic fandom in 2011

    1. @redenchilada *Cough* but it's the truth *cough*

      1. @bowandlyre Okay I've got something to admit. Crash of the Titans was fun to watch my little brother play. I enjoyed Skylanders when I tried it at a store display (though I wouldn't want to pay for action figures to play a game). I played more of Nuts and Bolts than of Kazooie and Tooie put together. I have found at least a modicum of enjoyment in every Sonic game released since early 2007. And seeing you guys whine about "I'd rather contract syphilis than play Sonic R" is getting so so annoying to watch.

        1. @redenchilada Ok contracting a disease is an exaggeration. Just to be clear I rather play a bad game then to contract a disease.

        2. @redenchilada Sorry if I'm harsh with my criticisms, but the fact is that all those games you mentioned are so terribly flawed I couldn't find enjoyment in them by taking them them with a grain of salt because if I were to do that I would need several cubic tons of salt. And as @bowandlyre said, the whole syphilis was an exaggeration, just to help me put my point across. And the main reason we complain about these games is because their quality has waned over the years and as fans from the inception of the series we feel cheated.

          1. @northernnarwhal "as fans from the inception of the series we feel cheated" Oh man I've heard that line about a million times.

            1. @redenchilada Doesn't take away from its merit.

              1. @northernnarwhal I dunno. I've been a fan of all of those series since their inception (well, I've been a Sonic fan since essentially birth) and I get plenty of enjoyment out of the new games?

                1. @redenchilada To each his own, I guess. I tried to like the new Sonic games, I really did (I wouldn't have played them or even given them a chance for that matter if I didn't), but I just can't enjoy them. They're really just not my cup of tea. I'm not joining a "let's all hate Sonic" bandwagon, I genuinely disliked these games after playing them. Sorry if I disappointed you, but that's just how I feel.

                  1. @northernnarwhal Fair enough.
