@captlynch yeah, I just don't know how to get to these houses, without falling of the bridge, because there is no safe way down. Walking through the lake of acid or whatever it is is not an option, including during a fall out.

@miloth don;t worry too much about the water then unless it has mirelurks living in it...avoid the bridges...one of them has a major raider outpost on it...with at least one flamer raider and a bazooka...apart from that, you'll only really have wildlife issues intil you get to the location...if you do meet a mirelurk...best weapon is a V.A.T.S shot with a shotgun or automatic to the eye

@miloth if you have also discovered big town, be careful near the lake on the outskirts...a few raiders have set up near the dock...it might be worth attacking them though as their camp has some decent ammo and weapons present

@miloth almost as bad as when you go on a really difficult mission but find something awesome...then accidently blow yourself up with a grenade and have to start all over and not find the really awesome thing again.

@miloth I usually complete the megaton quests first and get the house set up...L5 is the earliest I recommend setting out...the wasteland survival guide missions are good for lvling up

@miloth not really...you don;t get a karma hit...the mission waypoint will re-route to his son who gives you the bomb reward (AFTER you diffuse it of course) and you can tae the sherrifs duster and his chinese assault rifle

@miloth best locations are the old stores in the hamlets surrounding megaton...there are a few inside the springvale school as well...but that place is full of raiders...nothing you will struggle with unless you aggro all of them...but enough for caution

@miloth mhm...three best skills are lockpick, SCIENCE and repair...add the points each level with 5 to each...and shove any leftovers into energy weapons...you'll be picking up alot of energy weapons later on in the story

@miloth at lvl 3, its nowhere near too late...also do intensive training to add to strength...more strength = more carry capacity..reason I recommedn those 3 skills is that every 25 points on lockpick n SCIENCE allows you to decode another level of lock/computer hack...and the higher the repair means the better you can do DIY weapon/armor repair...saving you precious caps for other things...LIKE BULLET SCIENCE

@miloth I put most of my skills into those and didn't have any trouble. Energy weapons is probably statistically optimal, but the game is by no means hard with other stuff.

@ceruleanspark Hell if you get top melee and some form or armour, then you can kick the hell out of anything in that game. Real fun to walk around with some sort of heavy melee weapon and just clober everything
