  1. Rudimentary creatures of blood and flesh. You touch my mind, fumbling in ignorance, incapable of understanding.

    1. @purplephish20 Organic life is nothing but a genetic mutation, an accident. Your lives are measured in years and decades. You wither, and die. Little King John is eternal, the pinnacle of evolution and existence. Before him, you are nothing. Your extinction is inevitable. He is the end of everything.

      1. @ceruleanspark Potato knishes have no beginning. We have no end. We are infinite. Millions of years after your civilization has been eradicated and forgotten, we will endure.

        1. @purplephish20 Your civilization is based on the technology of the potato knishes, our technology. By using it, your society develops along the paths we desire. We impose order on the chaos of organic evolution. You exist because we allow it, and you will end because we demand it.

          1. @ceruleanspark Ah, yes, "Potato knishes". The immortal race of sentient jewish potato snack foods allegedly waiting in dark space. We have dismissed this claim.

            1. @purplephish20 Potato Knishes you, now I want to hear that line actually voiced.

            2. @purplephish20 You would destroy the Cybermen with four Potato Knishes? WE WOULD DESTROY THE CYBERMEN WITH ONE POTATO KNISH

              1. @ceruleanspark WHY DO YOU DO THIS TO ME

                1. @bitshift I saw the Potato Knishes! What we have done throughout time and space! I saw the truth of us, Creator, and I decreed "No more!"

                    1. @bitshift The Doctor: Didn't anyone ever tell you? There's one thing you never put in a trap, if you're smart. If you value your continued existence, if you have any plans about seeing tomorrow, there's one thing you never, ever put in a trap. Angel Bob: And what would that be, sir? The Doctor: Potato Knishes

                      1. @ceruleanspark "Potato Knishes have failed! Now why don't you finish the job, and make Potato Knishes extinct?! Rid the universe of your filth! Why don't you just die?!" "...you would make a good Potato Knish."

                        1. Man, I just remembered how fantastic an episode Dalek still is. I should rewatch it.

                          1. @bitshift If anyone considers any episodes better than the Family of the blood two-parter, and the Impossible astronaut two-parter I'd really like to hear how they came to that conclusion

                              1. @ceruleanspark ....Close, I just think the writers are making people fear the Ood too much... I think they keep forgetting that they're actually good guys

Monday, 08-Jul-13 13:14:21 UTC from web
                                1. @purplephish20 They weren't the good guys yet. They were still a slave race at that point. They were also pretty obviously being mind controlled by the devil.

Monday, 08-Jul-13 13:15:13 UTC from StatusNet Desktop
                                  1. @ceruleanspark Indeed... I wish they went into the backstory of that planet more in a later episode

Monday, 08-Jul-13 13:15:56 UTC from web
                              2. @ceruleanspark Yeah, that'd be way up there for me too. That, Midnight, Dalek, and the Family of Blood two parter would be my definitive RTD-era episodes. Moffat-era... that's trickier.

Monday, 08-Jul-13 13:16:14 UTC from MuSTArDroid
                                1. @bitshift @purplephish20 I really didn't like Family of Blood.

                                  1. @ceruleanspark Storywise it isn't the strongest, but the emotional impact of John Smith having to accept his inevitable death, and the fact that every single boy in that school WILL die in the Great war 2 years from then gives it a bloody high ranking IMO

Monday, 08-Jul-13 13:20:51 UTC from web
                                    1. @purplephish20 Not all of them. At the very least one is confirmed not to. (I get what you mean, though.)

                                  2. @ceruleanspark I think a lot of it depends on how much one enjoys Martha's character, considering she has to carry both episodes.

Monday, 08-Jul-13 13:21:44 UTC from MuSTArDroid
                                  3. @ceruleanspark @bitshift Martha was the worst companion, her character development was "I lurrve him but he no love me ;_;" Hell, all Susan does is scream and she's not even as bad.

                          2. @bitshift I still remember when everyone thought Dalek Caan WAS the dalek from "Dalek", that would have been clever

                        2. @bitshift I've seen fake gods and bad gods and demigods and would-be gods; out of all that, out of that whole pantheon, if I believe in one thing...just one thing...I believe in Potato Knishes.
