  1. Good grief! I finished reading through the history of the drama among team leaders who're developing Legends of Equestria # (formerly Equestria Online), and I'm genuinely surprised that the game has come as far as we've seen with the recent pre-alpha stress-test. The closest the team has had to a project manager quit a while ago and posted complaints about certain team leaders in a long-winded google doc. While taking into consideration his bias and the context (sometimes lack of context) of what he quoted, some of the team leaders exposed themselves as realjerks who're unwilling to give up control over their parts of the project at the expense of the project itself as a whole. This summarizes things rather succinctly. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-DXjyt1ujVlQ0BNUrqWj2IIdVTqJa7axuZFRDSCBoew/edit

      1. @critialcloudkicker I could rephrase or give more detail, but what happened is pretty much summed up in what I posted. Equestriaonline.com explains basically what happened in the past and what could happen again better than I can. In case you weren't aware, LoE is a pony MMORPG that recently opened its servers to the public to play as a test (and is now finished with said test and unavailable to play). Did you have any specific questions?

        1. @pony The way that previous thing was worded I thought that someone blew a fuse after the open pre-alpha test. And now a new team is being assembled. Or something

        2. @pony @critialcloudkicker Oh and, after EO disbanded most of the folks working on it transferred everything they did to LoE so it's basically the same thing with a different name

          1. @critialcloudkicker Oh I see. Nah. They've been alright mostly since LoE's team was organized, with the exception of some jerky team leaders. I mean, they're not /that/ bad, but things could definitely stand some improvement.

          2. @pony Is this thing not just the red wire taping everything together ?

            1. @critialcloudkicker I'm not familiar with that phrase. Red wire?

              1. @pony It means something like "the item/cause of the happening/event" And is an old saying related to bombs. ex: "the bomb exploded because noone cut the wire", In hollywood around the 1980's the red wire was usually the wire that needed to be cut, ergo, it kinda became slang to use "red wire" as substitute for "really sort of the cause for what happned" ... In this particular ( I guess ) Some people blew a fuse over the nightmare that came with making this game, so some bad stuff happned, and now there is a new team with a new name doing the same ( or better ) thing.

                1. @critialcloudkicker Oh I getcha. Yeah the potential for explosion is still there, but the fuse hasn't been lit yet, or, rather, the explosions that have occurred are small enough that the project has continued. Considering the fact that the team supposedly has 40-60 active members working on it (over 100 on their roster), I guess it's not too surprising they're still afloat since many interested and good workers have kept it glued together, but they've hit significant turbulence regardless which has slowed them down.
