I'd like to know why these dudes in game of thrones have their chests completely shaved. That makes 0 sense.

@nerthos no because even though they dont fight naked, if its proper combat then they have to be quick and efficient, and fortunatly, body hair adds extra wind resistance. and no, its not cool. its not manly.

@awwwlyra The thing is, in modern days shaved chests might be a common thing, but in a middle ages setting it's just too damn hard to do. Even women barely shaved back in the day.

@awwwlyra Yews, but Greek culture was really bent on personal image and a cult to the body. In the middle ages things were much more practical.
