@nightwillow How would that maximise profits though? I'm willing to bet most people don't want to pay for full priced desktop hardware to get a dumbed down smart phone OS. And I thought iPads being stuck on iOS was stupid!

@nightwillow Well, most anyway. Still, anyone who pays for a full priced computer with a smart phone OS on it is a moron as far as I'm concerned. At least Windows 8 comes with a standard mode as well as the tablet/touch screen orientated one.

@nightwillow Not a clue, I'm afraid. All I know is it has a touch screen orientated mode that is remiscent of a tablet OS and can be used on desktops with touch screens but it isn't mandatory.

@nightwillow I refuse to adopt a touch only computer (just as I do with smart phones, hence the htc Desire Z I have) but having it as another component could be pretty awesome.

@nightwillow No, not refuse to adopt smartphones, I've had two (BlackBerry Curve 8520 and then this, switched to this from the BB) but I refuse to buy a touch screen only smart phone.

@nightwillow There are plenty, in fact most Androids ARE touch only, but there are exceptions like the htc Desire Z (this phone)

@nightwillow Heh, sweet :) I might consider iPhones if they came with physical keyboards, but you can only get them with blue tooth keyboards that totally drain the battery. (but I guess I don't really like Apple to begin with)

@nightwillow Same ,plus you pay through the nose for their products and they take full control over what you do with them unless you Jail break them. (at least in the case of iOS Devices)
