  1. ...Maybe moving in here was not a good idea for my general health. :X I thought maybe I could make this work.

    1. @coffeecream Where did you move to?

      1. @huggablysoft I've been living in what is essentially a small concrete box in the back of the family's yard. The only protection against the elements is some rugs we threw over the floor. I moved out here because I just really, really, /really/ wanted some space from my family. Didn't think it would come at the cost of my health.

        1. @coffeecream That's horrible. You should really consider moving in with a friend or a roommate

          1. @huggablysoft NOBODY I HAVE TALKED TO IS THINKING OF MOVING OUT. OR AT LEAST HAVEN'T CONSIDERED MOVING OUT WITH ME. except for like one friend but he's doing that /in a few years/

              1. @huggablysoft Possibly why Dad keeps suggesting me and my sister move out together. Except she doesn't want to leave and she probably would hate to have me as a roommate.

                1. @coffeecream Moving out with your sister wouldn't be a good idea anyway. Both of you need your own personal space and the ability to live out your own respective lifestyles.

            2. @coffeecream Living out in a concrete shed by yourself isn't exactly a good alternative. If you want time away from your family, just sit down and talk with them about it. If they disagree with you, explain to them that separating from them is part of growing up. Still, though, I wouldn't call living out in a building that's in your parents backyard really spending time away from them when they're sitting next door. =/

              1. @huggablysoft Trust me, it's better than living in my old room inside the house. Nobody knocks, people are arguing every other day right outside my door... Out here may be worse than in other aspects, but at least here I actually do get some privacy and quiet

                1. @coffeecream I had to live through that for the first 21 years of my life. It's just part of being a family and something that you have to grow into dealing with. Seriously, when you're living out on your own for real (like in your own house or apartment) you'll eventually take what you had with your family for granted. I know I have and I actually do miss being with them, but unfortunately I can't be with them now. They're about 700 miles away.
