@mushi Isn't that girl part of the cameo team in graces f at riot peak? I like have a staff that can't be equipped and it looks like kyle's head. Do you want to say that because of religious stuff you couldn't study japanese?

@chaosmagic That girls? i dont know who she is, i havent looked much into ToD 2. Also, sort of, my father has reasons that onlymake sense for him, and sinc ei cant afford the classes, i had to wait a good time to start studying japanese. @mushi I know her name is reala and she seems to fight with a staff and does spells. I know her a bit from tales of the world 2-3 for the gba that i played with emulator. Well I'm sure they wont stop making tales of games anytime soon but im worrying that the will stop making german versions seeing as the tales of series is really not popular in german speaking countries :/

@mushi well doesn't mean they have to translate it into german. Tales of the abyss for 3ds was completly in english, which was the reason that I got it cheaper than other 3ds games.

@chaosmagic well, if you can read in english, i dont think it is bad... The only games i've playd with portugese subtitles so far are ToP, wich was a fanmade translation, and Lollipop chainsaw

@chaosmagic so it is not much of a problem. I actually preffer playing in english, the responsable for translating stuff dont usually do a good job here...

@mushi The german versions were translated quite well imo. Like they didn't changed the fangirl in the fangirl dream arte. To be honest I have no idea what fangirl be translated into. I'm wonder why in graces the artes have german names, unlike symphonia which uses the english names for artes. (i think it does)

@chaosmagic well, since i have pretty much not played anything in portuguese i dont know what that would be like, But for animes cartoons and stuff, they usually dont keep a term for more than 5 episodes. Like Everfree frorest has at least 4 different names in portugues, and so the cutie mark crusaders, and in some animes like yu-gi-oh, at a point they changed the VAing studio and ALL the names of the monstrs, some characters names and started saying "card out" instead of "card on the field". In pokemon's case, for exemple the studio is so sure their work is a apple that they got a big pokemon fan site to translate the series for them (for free, of course)

@mushi It sounds like portuguese translations are overall bad. The german mlpfim dub isn't really good actually but atleast they don't change the terms they use. I'm wondering are they translating names like twilight sparkle etc?

@chaosmagic no, they didnt translate the names of the mane six, but Nihtmare moo first appeared with the enlgish name, then they decided to translate her name in s2

@chaosmagic th4ey should have done a lot of stuff differently. But the best case of bad translation in pony is blank flank. IT used to be "flanco branco" ehich actually means blank flank, but in season 3 they decided to change it to "anca lisa", which means smooth rump :|
