@ignaesia Heart Crystals can now only be harvested with a demonite hammer or higher. Only 1 falling star falls per night.

@ceruleanspark now that is just plain mean! I haven't played Terraria in a while, how was Jungle armor nerfed? I know they gave rocket boots a preset time instead of using mana

@ignaesia The boots last literally .5 of a second now. They're basically a second-tier cloud in a bottle. My issue with the armor is that me, and a lot of other people spent HOURS or DAYS searching for it, and it's now a super common craftable. If they wanted to add a new armor to fill that slot, they should have done that, rather than basically just invalidate everyones hard work.

@ceruleanspark ouch, now I see what you mean. Muramasa becomes craftable with obsidion... lol. I actually ditched the rocket boots after the change since my Shiny Red Balloon and cloud get me around just fine, though its more annoying because my meteor armor is drastically less useful

@ignaesia I was playing with a bunch of other ponies when the update happened. We all lived in a floating island community we called Cloudsdale that we basically couldn't reach or navigate anymore. That was a shame.

@ignaesia Yeah, it kind of ruined the aesthetics of our little floating town of clouds to have everything joined up or having grapple-points all over.

@critialcloudkicker sounds like an awesome idea! Another thing i've wanted is a spear/polearm that takes advantage of the stabbing animation some of the earlier shortswords do, that'd be cool!

@ceruleanspark Right, what I was trying to say last night is that they're going to change the entire dynamics of HP and Mana, include HP regen by default, include status effects from different attacks, and make it so that spamming heals to keep the HP up will be punished.

@retl The game wasn't well balanced at 1.0, and just nerfing popular items has done nothing to add more variance or balance to the experience. It feels likethey lack a solid roadmap for how to expand the experience so they're just reacting to whatevers popular.

@ceruleanspark: Dunno if making the game more difficult is a popular outcry or anything. But I wouldn't really know as I just got the game less than a month ago, I think.

@retl I've logged over 100 hours. I've had my cobalt/jungle armor reduced to common, my murasame nerfed and my rocket boots ruined and nothing substantial has been added, despite the dev's promise of constant improvements, so I'm somewhat cynical about their capabilities at this point.

@ceruleanspark: You've probably already seen all of the game you're going to want to see for a while. I think they're trying to change the feel and progression of the game as a whole, and as a part of that, the game as I have enjoyed it, and the game as you have enjoyed it, and the game it will soon become might not match up at all. I played up until I got a Vilethorn, and then I lost interest until I started playing online more with friends who showed me new things.

@retl I've been playing a hardcore character lately, and that's been totally fun. The new stuff seems to fit in a lot better when it's not ruining a character you've worked hard on.

@ceruleanspark Yeah, probably. I dunno if all the upgrades effect old maps, though. Actually, I have no idea how old maps work.

@retl Some things upgrade, some don't. New mobs spawn in the new maps, but my biomes (Desert, ocean) didn't upgrade. Haven't looked in a chest yet, but chest contents is determined at map generation, so I don't think I can ever find a new item from a chest.
