@sprite I won't be able to get it until it's no longer the cool new thing to talk about and that kind of upsets me

@redenchilada You're not the only one who suffers about not riding on a hype wave.
-
@redenchilada I know how that feels, but does that mean that the people who do have it should not talk about it because of your feelings ?
-
@broniebrown I'm trying not to buy games on hype after the Animal Crossing fad died down but avoiding it with pokemon is so frustrating
-
@redenchilada The only game I got on the first day of release (that I can clearly remember) was Half Life 2. It drove me to go from store to store (I wasn't 18 yet) in order to get it but the stores refused to give me that. At one store I found a friend who was 18 and bought it for me. The madness continued when I tried to install it. I removed the dial-up modem from my father's computer and installed it into mine so I could activate it over steam. Then I had to struggle with the extremely long installation process after the steam servers finally decided to work again. It was a mad time I don't want to happen again.

@broniebrown Everyone has come a long way since then.
-
@broniebrown I bought that Guitar Hero DS game on the first day it launched. That's not only only day one purchase, but it /is/ the only one I regret!
-
@redenchilada my only*

@redenchilada I played that in the store. It was awful.
-
@broniebrown I've played worse rhythm games. It was definitely uncomfortable to hold the grip after a couple songs, though.
