Mods will never work in this place, no matter what they do or how they do it. The community always has it out for them, mods don't last long here and most just flat out left the community because being a mod here was a problem. Why? Because the rules got tighter, they got tighter for no damn reason in some places. Something I regret doing. The sites were perfectly fine the way they were, with one general rules which was done be an idiot or an a-hole. Then I happened to get mod, then I got admin, then I go ownership. Then mods were no longer mods, they were mistreated induviduals for several months. I ran away like a child and things never changed, the worst thing of all is this communities lack of wanting to move forward. The SINGLE moment anything is changed, even if it's so god damn small, the place erupts. People leave, people argue/flame/troll and everything goes up in flames. Don't just blame the mods for being the way they are, half the time it's us users too.

@mrdragon Mods who have the capacity to stand it without the job taking a toll on them aren't liked, and mods who are huan and liked for that can't stand the job indifenitely.
-
@mrdragon lol i troll u
-
@mrdragon What do you think about the letters from those angry parents though? Would you still listen to them?

@nerthos It's a simplistic fix, if this place had a better moderation tool system, there goes one problem. The other is to remove the rules I created, which were based off of one person being an issue at one issue only. Thus subjugating the rest of the community due to what one person did wrong. Then opening this place up to a community education system, teach the users exactly how to combat problems, ensuring there's simplistic tools to use (Block, hide, removal from the public wall) etc. Three steps that will help things out, and better yet. It's not even a change to the community, it's more backend useful tools to ensure thing are going in the right direction.

@anarchycarcino Indeed you do. Indeed you do.
-
@pony Quite frankly, I wish I'd told them to go sod themselves with a ten foot barge pool, their child wanted to come use this site we didn't force them
-
@mrdragon But seriously, I'm going to apple every single on of you.
-
@mrdragon All the tools are there. Also the rules changed. It's a willingness to purge the system what's really needed.
-
@anarchycarcino I'd like an apple too
-
@nerthos actually a real strike system that can be checked properly would be a good tool
-
@mrdragon xD you were tactful and I think that probably helped protect the site in the end, whether or not the rule tightening did.
-
@scoot That can be solved easily. Make a google doc where all mods write down their moderatey actions.
