@awlderpy I got two fancy rats, one is a dumbo rat too! Corvo is my regular fancy rat and Wilson is my dumbo...they're named from characters in games :D

@communistprime Aww! I had a group of 6 dumbos, 3 orange and 3 black-and-white with different patterns. Reverse hoodie 2 of them, and one just spotted. All males, I had named them Cassius, Brutus and Julius (oranges) and the others banana, Polecat and Houdini. They were the best ever.

@awlderpy So much fun to play with, I let them run around on my bed and just eeeeeee. Such a fun couple guys. Only had them for a couple months but so much entertainment

@communistprime I had mine since they were kittens (I believe really young rats are referred to as kittens), I had a cage the length of my dining room wall for them and I had them out on the couches, sometimes outside. It got hectic trying to play with them all but luckily the orange ones were really laid back and didn't do much besides eat.

@awlderpy that sounds way more chaotic (and big!) than I can handle now, unfortunate. Lucky to have even any pets, really.

@communistprime Living in an apartment I presume? I'd say you were, especially rats. Some people here still have massive hangups about them.

@awlderpy I live in an apartment with a rooommate! He's very cool about pets, and the apartment is chill so long as it isn't dogs. My problem is simply space...it's hard enough to have my pet milksnake, I can barely fit my rats.

@communistprime Oh yes I understand. I felt the large cage I had for my 6 wasn't enough when the oranges came close to a kilogram in weight. A pet milksnake as well? A practical zoo. Never had a snake or lizard as a pet.

@awlderpy Shnaek was my first, bought him a couple months when I came home from the Army. A year later I got my rats during a bout of depression and have loved them all the whole time.

@communistprime Sounds like they helped see you through. I'm glad they did. Now I miss rats, I should get some more.

@awlderpy Though short lived, they're fantastic pets like gerbils and mice.

@communistprime Definitely. After Julius died, the longest lived one, I just couldn't go out and get more. Now enough time has passed.
