  1. anyone remember the fanfic where Twi is dead, visits ponyville, and finds out Dashie was in tots love with her the whole time and now living an empty life while hiding it from her remaining friends? Well, I found a totally sad song to go with that scene. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o5SSGhmTvr0

        2. @prettypurpleprincesspublicprincesstimeline Part of what I love about pony is that it's so...happy. It makes me love life. It takes my mind off the real sad things. So nah, I'll avoid that, thanks.

          1. @clayinthecarpet weird. I typically go into sadder things when I am sad. May be perpetual.

            1. @prettypurpleprincesspublicprincesstimeline I'm an artist and I need to be in a great mood to create things. I go into sadder sounds/sights when I'm sad, but I don't *like* to be sad. I find power and comfort in pony and don't like to pervert what I love about it.

                  1. @clayinthecarpet the feels. It's all about the feels. Feeling loss puts our greatest values and loves into perspective, it grants a scale on which we can judge and compare what we cherish

                    1. @prettypurpleprincesspublicprincesstimeline I don't know about you, but I feel enough "loss" in my general day-to-day struggle through life. I don't have to seek that out in art because I've had enough of it, as far as I'm concerned. I want things to make me feel pleasant or at least "thoughtful" in a way that doesn't make me die inside. I am very easily personally affected by many artworks and just don't want to deal with that on a daily basis.
