      1. @clayinthecarpet My point is it's fine if you don't enjoy it, but you seem to be using statements like "they pervert a pureness about the show" that imply there's something inherently wrong with enjoying it.

        2. @redenchilada I'm just really explaining why I can't deal with it from a personal standpoint. There *is* a pureness about the show that I like to remain intact, and I guess many shipfics just kinda take that and twist it around until I can't deal with it anymore. I'm definitely not suggesting that all people should think like me. I would implore you all to check out Mr. @prettypurpleprincesspublicprincesstimeline 's fanfic if it would please you. I simply can't as I have ideas about the show that I cannot - or refuse to - alter until the show's canon does it itself, which it likely never will. My statements I've made are only my opinions and should be taken as such by the people in the room here. Throughout this entire argument, I have only been defending myself against the idea that I should read a shipfic I have zero interest in only because some folks think I'm being closed-minded or whatever. I simply can't do it out of personal feelings, and that's all.

          1. @clayinthecarpet I can only imagine what you think my story is like if you hold such a firm stance against its unread content. I hope this isn't an anti-lesbian position; because if it is I will have to withhold from speaking any further on the subject as it steps beyond the boundary of debating fanmade content

    3. @snowcone as I said before, lesbians are into women and since so am I, I can totally understand why they're into women

    4. @snowcone it just occured to me by coincidence that calling a homosexual a fruit is a bad thing. I understand your intended humour however
