  1. Hay there, !calgarybronies. You are all cordially invited to come join the rest of the Rainbow Dash Network. You don't have to group-tag everything you post, especially if it's totally unrelated to your local meetups and stuff. I promise you, the rest of us don't bite!

    1. @starshine Starshine taking action as usual

      1. @carcino Yep. It's kind of annoying, they post all these generally interesting things, but that group tag sort of says "don't talk to us if you're not from here".

        1. @starshine I've tried talking to a few but never a response

    2. @starshine !calgarybronies Oh yeah, I guess all posts are public. This site still confuses me. I only have this group page open so I tend to post only to that. But that's just the social recluse in me talking. Hard enough to follow just this page, let alone eeeeeverything else out there!

      1. @phoenixswift and yet, you still keep using that group tag :(

        1. @starshine I'm sorry! I'm just used to having one place to post/read replies! And it happens to be that group! It's easier for me. I can't focus on much more then one page. I just can't!

          1. @phoenixswift Well, if you use your personal timeline, you'll see all the Calgary stuff, any @replies directed toward you, plus anypony else that you're subscribed to. Then if you guys all subscribe to each other, then you can use the group tag for things that are, y'know, actually relevant to your local area. :)

            1. @starshine While I accept that that probably is the right way to go about it, most of those who I'm trying to show my posts to seem to only use the group page for what they need, just like I do. I'm just accommodating that. I mean no offense but it just seems simpler in my eyes to do it this way. Just trying to explain how I see it hopefully without sounding too much like a flank. I'm tired and I'm sorry if I sound offensive.

              1. @phoenixswift You're okay, I dunno where you guys got the idea of posting everything to your group though. It's ... very strange. :)

                1. @starshine Y'know, I don't actually know when that started, it just kinda... did. It's not that we don't want others to talk with us. I don't think that many others know how to comment outside of the tag, maybe that's where it began. I'm perfectly fine with either though.

                  1. @phoenixswift That's amusing to me, because so many people tend to post with no idea how *to* use group tags, and end up leaving stray messages with no hint of what group they're trying to talk to.

                    1. @starshine Ahaha, we're like the weird, backwards, alternate dimension group! Where we know all too well how to use tags! Spoooky~ *insert AJ "Ooooo" here*

                        1. @starshine Aha! I got a laugh! It may only be a written one and possibly not true, but my mission is accomplished all the same! In any case, chances are I'll keep using the tag in most of my posts. But! That doesn't mean nopony has to feel like they can't take part and reply to my post! I'll be more then happy to strike up a conversation. Some of our group may not, but I'm sure a few others will, I'm just not sure which ones. The tag doesn't really mean "don't talk to us if you're not from here". It's just how we learned to make use of it. Excuse the superlong post. Mine tend to draw on like this. I actually hit the character limit once!

                          1. @phoenixswift Nah that really did amuse me.
