@thatonepony Well, you can't really determine her attitude from the time she's been on screen, but all the fanfictions that I've read have put her as a really nice pony. I think the opposite.

@echron1000 Berry Punch: drinking out of the punch bowl mad the fanbase connect her to a drinking problem. Doctor Whooves: The cutie mark combined with the look-alike everything made him spottable by any Dr Who fan who is also a brony. Lyra: her repeated appereances in every episode, and her strange way of sitting on a bench in the "dragonshy" episode made the fanbase adore her. Octavia: I'm still studying Octavia.

@nvrrmbr Have you noticed how many of the fans of the show also play musical instruments, and especially string instruments? I think that might have had something to do with Octavia's popularity.

@echron1000 That's actually kind of hard to explain. The way I think about it is that the developers have put so much character into the characters that the fanbase is just using that character.

@nvrrmbr I think people are drawn to Octavia because her body language, I'm aware she's a pony, but from my perspective, she seems very stoic, and quiet, her reaction to Pinkie seemed subdued, which I take to be indicative of her being a calm pony, who thinks before she acts, as well as before she speaks. She strikes me as a pony who olds herself to high standards. The fact that she also hits me as stoic makes me think that while she does hold herself to high standards, she's reluctant to hold other ponies to those standards, though she can't help but think those around her should be more aware of their mannerisms and appearance. This is all me reading into like eight seconds of screen time, but, y'know.
