@datpolishguy Mine runs at about 36ºC when sort of idle and about 65ºC when under heavy load, but then again the FX series works at a higher temperature than the Phenom series. But anyway, if you want it to go slower install a program t set the speed, altough the CPU fan shouldn't be too noisy. Mine barely makes any noise.

@datpolishguy If the cooler is wrongly installed it might not work peoperly, causing the CPU temperature to go up and in turn set the fan to max, yes. But then again, it's almost impossible to mess it up since almost all hardware ony fits in one position. If you're worried about that, check the fan's power supply connector.

@datpolishguy Then maybe it's handled by the motherboard driver. You could always install a program to control it manually.
