  1. Another issue is that I seem to have two types of friends, and those who overlap are rare finds. One type wants only silly, no serious conversations. The other type is the other way around. Both types barely know me because of this.

  2. @haganbmj Not at all.

  3. @haganbmj Understanding goes both ways. "Your opinion is not valid because you are lesser than us," is not a great way to get me to like ya. Then their kids start liking me more than them because I treat them like human beings and so iiiiiiit's drama time!

  4. @haganbmj @magicrussia I think I'm bolder in person because I feel like I ~need~ to be extroverted in person in case I ever need the people I'm randomly extroverted to. And I'm very spontaneous; I'm the type to bounce up to people (usually not literally) for the fun of it.

  5. @magicrussia I write much more eloquently than I talk, but I'm more nervous writing! I don't know what's up with that. At least in person, I can waltz up to a group looking silly and join in with a big ol' "HI!" That doesn't have the same effect online.

  6. @haganbmj I try to, but disability ethics are touchy and those are usually the heart of the morals. I'm a second generation mother of disabled children, and I'm disabled myself. The people who are supposed to be friends to me can be anything but, and most of my friends either don't have children or have children who are nothing like mine.

  7. @haganbmj Yes, but none of them really -get- where I'm coming from in at least a few huge practical ways. The people who are supposed to often don't in huge ways regarding morals.

  8. @darkcore Howdy.

  9. @haganbmj Except when it's not easy because you don't feel you have anything in common with others.

  10. @angel I feel more socially awkward on the computer than off it, actually. I almost never know if people are annoyed at me through text on the web or lack thereof, you know?

  11. @angel Not my conversation, but I feel like that a lot as well.

  12. @libbylishly Draggle and her sister Reeka were the daughters of Hydia, a villain from the original My Little Pony. Hydia wanted her daughters to be evil like the rest of their family and spent much of her time abusing them, particularly Draggle. Draggle wasn't adept at magic at all, and she was the sensitive family member who knew on some level that the way she was being raised wasn't right while also trying hard to gain her mother's acceptance (which she never managed to do). Hydia hated being called Mama, something Reeka slipped out once and Draggle slipped out many times, discounting the times both purposely annoyed Hydia by calling her mom names when their schemes had failed. Anyway, basically, Draggle was a misguided young woman who just wanted friends, confidence, and to be on good terms with her family. She was loyal to a fault; if she had left her home and joined the ponies, she would have been very happy. I like to think that something like that did eventually happen.

  18. @redenchilada Phelps? Those people hate everything, though. They'd protest against air. Maybe they already do.

  20. Honestly, I greatly dislike Trixie and have yet to see why so many love her so much. She's just a needlessly conceited twerp.
