  1. !yorkshirebronies It seems that the Liverpool meetup date changed. Either that, or I just dun goof'd. http://www.facebook.com/groups/378316685531053/

    • !yorkshirebronies @frostyhooves No problem! Since this whole group is getting so big, I'm having a crack at making a PHP based website. It's not going to be anything fancy (I'm the world's worst programmer), but more of a way for people to submit their name, and confirm their attendance at future meetups. It just automates the whole process and makes it so much easier for everyone. Any ideas of stuff that may be of use to us on the site?

          • !yorkshirebronies @trister Oh yeah, next meetup could be in a month's time! If we have a large amount of attendees again, a function room will be awesome as heck. Any ideas what you guys would want to do at the meetup?

            • !yorkshirebronies has anyone had a look for function rooms in/around Leeds yet? It occurred to me that we might be able to call one of those information places like 118 or whatever, or the yell one, and see if we can find anything. I will try to look into it later this week if we still have nothing

              • @supercammy if you join the !uk group and tag them in your post you're more likely to get relevant answers, personally I'm from the North East

                • !yorkshirebronies @klayking When these finally release I expect they'll sell out instantly XD. Worst part is that it will be a Toys R Us exclusive and we have no info on UK release or not... time to ask your US friends if they don't mind doing some shopping for you....

                      • !yorkshirebronies @undeadtaz ASDA and Morrisons has been pretty successful for us; the big ones, at least. Got like 5 sets of everything we needed (house full of bronies xD) between two ASDA superstores and one of whatever Morrisons calls their biggest shops. Are you just not finding them in stock at all, or not finding particular ponies?

                      • @klayking !yorkshirebronies NICE! Papercraft for the win. I have to say though, the weighted companion cube is awesomest. Given that they haven't exploded yet, I guess creepers consider ponies to be other mobs.

                      • @durandal somehow you go offline on steam every day about 30 minutes before I come online!

                      • !yorkshirebronies Argh! Why are blind bag ponies impossible to find in actual shops :'(

                      • !yorkshirebronies Yeah, anyone with Uni connections may be able to get us a place in Sheffield, York, Leeds or anywhere else within range of most of us. That would be cool. Otherwise a projector and a room could also work!

Tuesday, 07-Feb-12 20:47:32 UTC from web
                        • !yorkshirebronies If all else fails we could always just rent a projector and a fairly large room?

Tuesday, 07-Feb-12 13:35:58 UTC from web
                        • !yorkshirebronies @mattus701 @klayking Hmm, I was kinda expecting something like that, they have to cover their flanks, after all. If we wanted to get a showing going, university facilities might be a better shot. The impression I've had (at least from Sheffield university) is that they've got more of a 'plausible deniability' policy: they don't want to know what you're doing with the auditorium, and it's on you if you get into trouble ; ) Aside from an actual auditorium, booking a lecture theatre to get access to the projectors in there would be a good alternate solution. That said, I think UoS only books out to societies, but it might be that they book out to any student with the cash for the fee. No idea what other uni's policies might be.

                          • @durandal Shame, I was rather hoping for food on Saturday evening, with YorkieBrony too. More ponies = merrier! How's next weekend? Or is Bradford a regular occurrence for you? =3

                          • !yorkshirebronies Apparently also that cinema in the Light, right near the restaurant we went to, allows private hire of its screening rooms. Without ringing up I can't find much out, but I bet it will be pricey...

                            • !yorkshirebronies Been doing some very half-arsed 5 minute research again. It does look to be quite far from Leeds city centre but so far, it looks feasable. Prices don't look half bad either! http://www.cottageroad.co.uk/privatehire.php http://g.co/maps/xwq77

                              • !yorkshirebronies @trister the meal cost was £280 if I recall correctly. it sounds right. I personally spent £20 but assuming everyone spent £15 on average that would be £300. Assuming everyone (19 people as someone left) went bowling at £11/ea that's another £200. Places are expensive though - we may not really be able to do anything for that - but we'll just have to see! =3

                              • !yorkshirebronies @wychwood Hah, yeah, we all surround Leeds! I vote Leeds for default location! Question is, do we ever want variation or do we want to almost always meet up there?

                                • @elscire Oh, cool. Well, I'm heading to Bradford on the Saturday, but if you're around on Sunday we can work something out ^ ^
