  1. You know, either Daring Do's wing isn't 100% usable after that first book's injury, or the rest of her expeditions must be awfully easy to her.

  5. @ceruleanspark If I weren't so lazy, you'd be getting a link to an objection with tons of random, fake jargon to reinforce my nonexistent point.

  6. @ceruleanspark Good. I've been busy with school and working on my Persona Pony game thing. I'm finally done with the demo.

  11. @psykozohedron You caught your grammar mistake. That's already far better than some people. I doubt that'll be a problem.

  12. @ceruleanspark Wow, you're really good at this. That is the most logical explanation I've been given so far.

  13. @ceruleanspark About characters in general? This has honestly happened from fairly young. Moving back to the earlier conversation about what I take from stories, I relate with the characters in some form, which most times is an attraction to their personality making them likable.

  14. @psykozohedron It wasn't supposed to be serious. I was joking at the six minute time lapse that incidentally fell after the Japanese lesson.

  15. @ceruleanspark Personality wise mostly. More so the fanon one though.

  16. @psykozohedron No, I'm pretty certain you pronounce that as tsu.

  21. @pony I personally don't have a problem seeing them as mature. It's admittedly hard to see them as childish other than a few instances.

  23. @ceruleanspark Yeah, the comic hit EqD a couple days ago. Then people made a video of the comic practically right after.

  26. @pony Being in Hawaii, and thus the US, I understand that our general use of guy/girl is used far into their 20's and sometimes even their 30's so it's rare, but in that case I say man and woman are more often used in a formal setting instead of due to age (after a certain point) So in this case the use of filly and colt could still be used to refer to anypony even into their older years and the terms mare and stallion are more often used in a formal setting as well.

  28. @ponydude G'night!

  29. @pony But the reasoning she gives is less "This is what makes sense" and more "I needed an excuse to make them non-children and this was as close to a plausible excuse as I could make up." Even with this, the question of "What makes a young adult a young adult?" is brought up. Is it their maturity level? (I've seen adults who act far more like children) Or is it their ability to sustain themselves? (A home and a job which /can/ be done by 16-18 year olds though is generally more difficult)

Monday, 30-Jan-12 08:40:32 UTC from web in context
  30. @pony I don't see how that's necessarily wrong though either. As far as I can see, they all hold some form of job or another and are self sustaining for the most part. Along with this they are at least somewhat close in age to the other ponies around town who aren't all exactly young either. They may seem like 16-20 year olds personality wise, but they are still acting more like the 25 year olds who have a stable job for the most part and have a home to come back to.
