  12. !yorkshirebronies @elscire Yeah, pub is only really any use to anyone who is able to stay that late (i.e. not many people). Pominator says if anyone from further afield did want to stay late at the pub, then they can crash at his place for the night, and travel home the next day. But, officially we'll be finishing about half five or whatever, so no fret if it's too late. @yorkiebrony Basically, purplephish was suggesting that the next meetup could be in Sheffield, and also had the idea to try and make it a larger thing with more attendees. If this is the case, it would be good if anyone from Sheffield with contacts in the Uni could get a large room with a projector for the meetup. I just mentioned a few people who I could remember living in Sheffield. Anyway, hopefully this plan may just happen. A big meetup in Sheffield would be awesome! Also, have fun at the Cello Day!

  13. !yorkshirebronies So today I was walking past Shooters Sports Bar in Leeds at lunch time with some college friends, when I passed somebody who looked very familiar. If I was right, then it was someone who attended the Jan 28th meetup, whose name I can't remember! D: @elscire perhaps? Have a pic: http://i782.photobucket.com/albums/yy104/tornadotrist/Leeds%20Brony%20Meetup/IMG_0026.jpg So yes, I may or may not have seen you today. If so, sorry I didn't stop and say hi! I'm not the best person in the world for recognising faces, plus I was with two college friends who don't know about bronies. Would have been hard to explain who you were! XD Assuming of course, that I did see the guy pictured and not a lookalike!

  17. @elscire Next weekend currently looks fine. Bradford was a one-time thing, was at a fighting game tournament, so that's no problem : )

  19. @elscire I'm arguing semantics because I'm bored. I was making a distinction between 'very near future' and 'very-near-future' since linking the words together would change the meaning from a future that is very near to a point that is very nearly the future.

Friday, 03-Feb-12 00:18:14 UTC from web in context
  20. @elscire wouldn't the very-near-future just be the present considering its hyphenated state?

  22. @trister @elscire !yorkshirebronies Right, I'll keep that in mind. What do you reckon the price limit per person should be? The lower the price the better. I'd be happy personally if I could find something for £20 or less each, but some people may want to spend less, which is understandable.

Thursday, 02-Feb-12 21:41:39 UTC from web in context
  23. @elscire indeed, so assuming we're eating in addition to renting out this room it's certainly going to cost more than £11 per person, but on the plus side it will probably be a fixed cost, so more members means that we each have to pay less

  24. @elscire Oh, cool. Well, I'm heading to Bradford on the Saturday, but if you're around on Sunday we can work something out ^ ^

  25. @elscire exactly, they would have won if they had taken care with their product, assuming that Twilight and the others hadn't helped out. Once they started trying to overproduce everything was getting caught out at the quality stage. Isn't it a good message that the community ended up recognising that the care of their local family business was better than the soulless industrial?

Thursday, 02-Feb-12 11:57:42 UTC from web in context
  26. @elscire That falls under the 'Cut Lex Luthor a Cheque' category; whereby any villainous character would be infinitely more successful if they applied their skills to more legitimate means
