@neuraria that os may not be able to open those files though, kind of like how a linux can open a tar file, or any compressed file and look at its contents freely, and extract them, also they can open up linux/osx/mac/unix only files like shell. And windows cant, yet the linux cant open windows only files like bat, or vbs, or atleast i think bat is windows only. Dont trust me on this since this is from my experience though, i work with dinosaur computers.
