Hey everypony, the brony community of Team Liquid is hosting an out-of-control epic 16 hour long MLP:FiM Mare-A-Thon on this Saturday, December 10th, shortly after the new episode is done airing. I invite anypony interested on Saturday to stop by and check it out. I was around for the first one and let me tell you, it was some of the most epic pony time I've ever been a part of; the IRC alone makes it worth it. Oh, did I mention there will be multiple opportunities to win some pony shirts?! @vorpalbob Yeah, Granville was where I was planning on hopping on the bus. My concern is if the bus that leaves Granville at 8:06 will reliably get me to the ferry or not (I checked the schedule). As for sleeping, what you posted is why I don't expect any volunteers. =P

!vancouverbronies Also, do we have a meetup plan for the 18th? As in, where to meet and when? Since we need to hop around on the bus system, I'm thinking meeting at a Skytrain station would be the smartest thing to do, then busing and/or walking accordingly.

@andranator2 Well buses aren't a problem if I can sleep; I'm only concerned due to how the schedule works. It says the last 257 arrives at 8:47 at Horseshoe Bay, which cuts it REALLY close (within 3 minutes of ticket sales cutoff). Horseshoe Bay is a LONG way off so I couldn't possibly ask for a ride. Now to rack my brains for a good gift idea!

!vancouverbronies OK, couple of questions about the meetup (afterward): 1) any of us drunkards want to go nuts with some booze and whatnot after? 2) Anyone got a free couch or something? I'm only asking because same-day traveling is difficult, especially to Surrey, since I'm from Nanaimo and not the GVRD. If nobody speaks up, I won't be offended or anything, I know I'm asking a lot. 3) In the event I can't find a place to crash, does anyone know if the 8:02 Horseshoe Bay Express Bus can reliably get me there to catch the 9:00 sailing back to the island? Missing the boat by 5 minutes and having to pay for a hotel wouldn't be very fun and I'd like to be able to stay for the whole meet if possible.

@questing !vancouverbronies I can attest that they're quite fun, though I've been to only one actual meetup myself (the second one was a smaller scale get-together with the sole purpose of getting drunk), but I really enjoyed it despite having to come from Vancouver Island.

@redtie !vancouverbronies Ouch. Guess I'll need to bum around for a place to sleep; 5:45 is the last bus and I need to allow almost an hour from the Skytrain to the depot, unless I decide to take the gamble of the 257. Sigh, I hate being an Islander sometimes. T_T

@seanprice !vancouverbronies AFAIK the only way to get the "good" pony shirts is on welovefine.com or redbubble.com. Obviously you can get them custom made pretty much anywhere, but those sites are generally the most popular ones.

Okay, !Vancouverbronies, that drunk meetup was a lot of fun! I nearly got screwed over because of Greyhound on my way home. After I said goodbye to @redtie at the depot, it turns out that Greyhound was super incompitent and my bus home wasn't a bus at all; it was a small white van and it wasn't even at the correct gate, so it left without me. I got a refund and managed to catch the 257 to barely make the ferry anyway. That's not truly important, though. What IS important is my ferry boarding pass code word was "Luna" and the video of the drunk times is up on Youtube! @andranator2 !vancouverbronies Are we going to be doing it via gift exchange? ((How that works is all the gifts are in a pile, one person grabs a gift, opens it, then the next person either grabs a gift from the pile or trades their open gift for someone else's. This process is repeated until there are no unopened gifts left and everyone keeps what they have at the time.)) Or will it be other random fun times? Only asking so I can have a better idea of what to buy at Toys-R-Us or where ever.

@redtie !vancouverbronies When/where should we meet? For me personally, a Skytrain stop works best. As for time, if I take the 8:30 ferry I can get there by 11ish, depending on which Skytrain I need to arrive at.

@andranator2 !vancouverbronies Oh yeah, RE: food/drinks idea: maybe some of us could chip in for pizza delivery or something. I'm traveling through public transit/on foot, so that'd work better for me, but if it's 100% necessary I can run to the store and grab something.

I'm coming from Nanaimo so I need to figure out my transit. As for a time, should we arrange something at that Skytrain stop so we can walk/carpool there together or something? Just spitballing here to make the journey easy. Now we just need to figure out what's going on with this Sunday, and if it doesn't happen, is it safe to assuming there's nothing doing until either the 4th (laser tag reschedule) or the 18th? Thanks!

@Echron1000 !Vancouverbronies So...IS anything happening on Sunday? It's getting close to the date and I'd like to know if I'm going on the ferries on the weekend if at all possible. @tigerdusk @andranator2 Any date ideas? I need to know when this is happening before December 1st if at all possible because of stream planning. The target date for the stream is Sunday December 11th, so the sooner I can confirm that a meetup happens or not on that specific date, the better.
