@jorgetobias !xmpp is never truly down ;-).

> It's not the cathedral itself that makes you feel bad, it's the emptiness that will replace it.
@augustus Or maybe a pool, like https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moskva_Pool -
@jordigh I was sure I'll see functional programming mentioned :-P.

@kaniini @Are0h I think a good replacement for the Electoral College would be a system where votes get a multiplier depending on the overall population of a state.
That way every vote counts in the elections directly with no lossy approximations like giving the 100% of votes in a state to the victor, even if they got it by a slim margin. -
@schestowitz You've probably looked at the local representation of the remote profile on pleroma.site.
Right now it shows 4 subscriptions out of 372, all at pleroma.site. -
@notclacke @zoowar I can see new notices from @clacke (https://loadaverage.org/user/398570), so I take it federation with Friendica works now either way.

> the programming code of websites
@mangeurdenuage I remember times when it was called "mark-up" or "layout"…
And the sentiment that the user should control what data they are getting isn't even worth considering anymore. -
@dawsports Well, I guess that's how it is %).
-
@mangeurdenuage Maybe @moonman means LineageOS 16.0 in particular.
-
> Any idea if this still works on Windows 10
@dawsports The path is still there, so… probably. -
@dawsports Motivation is essential to learning new languages.
So if you feel burnt out, try finding a new reason to learn Spanish. -
@dawsports Looks better on my 5:4 screen than it would have on a 16:9/16:10 one ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
-
> haven't gotten a reply on loadaverage in 3 months. Anyone still here?
@dawsports Sure. I guess not that many people who can comment on sports around %). -
@mangeurdenuage @dude Glad to help :-).
-
> since I follow you
@mangeurdenuage Um, you don't. -
@mangeurdenuage You're not subscribed to @dude (and no one else on the instance), so notices aren't being WebSub'd here.
But if @dude mentions you, then it gets salmon'd here anyway.
So… just subscribe to him ;-). -
@kyle Looks like something they'd do to me.
-
@mono They'll unionise, and then everybody wins.
-
@xrevan86 UNIONS! RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE! :P Just kidding.
-
-
@siberiabreadfactory Может, ещё и разочаруется, тогда хотя бы критическое мышление разовьётся.

> I see that you are having problems with logical conclusions.
@ani @ferretsyndicate The one who made this logical conclusion based on your assertions in this thread is I.
> Augusto Pinochet is a person that I have little knowledge around, he seemed to be anti socialist more than anti communist but definitely not a humanist and I guess he was really an anarcho capitalist.
Augusto Pinochet got particularily infamous for the things he did to "save the country from communism".
> he seemed to be anti socialist more than anti communist
@ani Since no distinctions were made between various ideologies collected under the "communism" umbrella, Mikhail Bakunin and Kim Il Sung undistinguished, I don't see in what way is a socialism/communism distinction any different. -
> Not bad! Thought it was less than that :)
@6gain He-he, there's hope for us yet :-).
> maybe we need a gathering place. Is the old XMPP room still alive?
Well, I never cared about it even when it was around, it didn't even occur to me when I got the chance to revive the XMPP service.
gnusocial@conference.bka.li should be sufficient, I think. -
> It's too bad that communism logically means anti-humanism
@ani @ferretsyndicate Attach a definition of communism.
> and thus if you label yourself an anti-communist you are a humanist defined. ????
Such as Augusto Pinochet and Adolf Hitler. -
> It's too bad that communism logically means anti-humanism
@ani Attach a definition of communism.
> and thus if you label yourself an anti-communist you are a humanist defined. ????
Such as Augusto Pinochet and Adolf Hitler. -
@6gain Hm, around 15, I think.
-
@6gain But I get the feeling that I'm forgetting about a lot of pet, so probably more :-).

> and it turns out that our server doesn't support IPv6.
@bedap That's no big deal. The only reason this is a problem is because the domain advertises an IPv6 address with an AAAA record.
Just remove the invalid IP address from DNS, and it'll all be good :-).-
@bedap @mangeurdenuage It has been resolved, thank you.
-
-
@bedap @mangeurdenuage Still a problem…
-
@fribbledom I barely know what Facebook looks like.
-
@ani What is your objective?
