Почти таки победил #cdemu в #openSUSE: диски от юзера она уже монтирует, но чтение почему-то возможно всё равно только от суперюзера.

Somewhat agree about gdebi and synaptic, strongly disagree about gnome-panel. Unity is a fine (albeit somewhat slow) interface.

Right now I prefer self-made forums, for example, on #ror. But indeed, fluxbb and other small forums (like exbb) are good forums.

I was more of an SMF fan before, but now I support smaller ones like FluxBB, and trying to implement features myself (I know some PHP :( )

Who said that commercial forums engines thinks about users? No one!
-
What about the browser? It keeps receiving the CSS every time, even if it's already cached in it.
-
Well, the guy I mentioned was looking for some specific plug-ins (like topic title formatting and stuff)...
-
Many up-to-date commercial forums place their themes (without images) in database for good performance (remember the cache thing).
-
No one really needs vbulletin. I think, when Shuttleworth gives them some money - they just do not know where to spend them.
-
Or the fact that, despite most engines already doing extensive XSS checks, he believed sigs should be reduced to 100(!) chars "for safety".
-
For example, who puts HTML templates and CSS into the freaking database? They're inserted directly into pages -> browser can't cache them.
