But it does not, as family is neither government nor is it business. It is its own organization, as is government and business. -

@dtluna I believe that the top of the tree is "organizations" and that "government" and "family" are daughters of "organizations," but are neither are the child of the other.

@dtluna It's rather that government lacks blood. It's blood that makes a family a family. It's also that even though they share attributes it doesn't make them the same. Many things have like attributes. A bumblebee is a bee, has black and yellow stripes, and can sting. A honey bee also has those attributes, but it is not a bumblebee. Also, as my family can not be a government, my family can not be a business.

@dtluna No, but I also would not say my family is a landlord or a business. Both a business and a landlord set forth conditions for working or living on their land and may revoke my ability to live/work there or punish me (probation, docked pay, loss of communal pool/gym privileges) if I break those conditions.

@dtluna In this instance it means a condition for living on the land the government owns.

@dtluna Government at its base is an organization that sets forth laws and settles disputes within the land it owns. It may at times raise an army to ward its land from other forces, be it from the outside or from within. Most modern governments also give services to those that live on the land it owns.
