@carcinopony I actually own the game but dislike it aswell. It can be fun from time to time (with a lot of friends) but I prefer more competitive games with a clear goal (winning)

@chaosmagic Warcraft III is a RTS game by Blizzard which is very modable. Defence of the Ancients (DotA) is one of these mods and is probably the most popular one. it's based of a map with 3 lanes. 2 teams fight against each other with different available heroes and try to destroy the opposing teams players (to gain an advantage) towers and ultimately to win the core of the other teams base. Heroes of Newerth and League of Legends both take heavily from DotA. Valve is busy making DotA 2 at the moment and a lot of other spin offs like Rise of the Immortals are also being developed at the moment. If you're interested you could try out League of Legends which is free (where HoN costs 30 dollars) and a lot more forgiving.

@starshine This just in, Blizzard, Valve, BioWare, Bethesda, Mojang AB, Relic and Rockstar games are working together on the new My little pony: Friendship is Magic game. it is said to be a modern sci-fi post apocalyptic fantasy game combining elements of shooters, RPGs, RTSs, Typing games and cooking mama. And it all seems to be merging seamlessly together in a way I never expected possible.
