!yorkshirebronies What about this weekend? Yes, it is short notice, but this is only for people who have an easy time getting there. If not, I will be at the Liverpool meetup next weekend, but we could always go the weekend after.

!yorkshirebronies @wychwood No biggie for me to get to Leeds, I'm just half an hour away! Got anything planned?

@ponyray Ooh, Newcastle is a heck of a long way for me to travel! D: But I do agree, if there are at least 5 bronies in the area, you so do need a meetup! They aren't that hard to organise either!

!yorkshirebronies Liverpool meetup is 10th March. As for the next Yorkshirebronies Meetup, end of March maybe?
-
!yorkshirebronies @purplephish20 Is a gay bar easier to explain than ponies...? Not sure. I say you tell her you ware at a strip club. Much easier to explain. :D
-
!yorkshirebronies It seems that the Liverpool meetup date changed. Either that, or I just dun goof'd. http://www.facebook.com/groups/378316685531053/

!yorkshirebronies @frostyhooves No problem! Since this whole group is getting so big, I'm having a crack at making a PHP based website. It's not going to be anything fancy (I'm the world's worst programmer), but more of a way for people to submit their name, and confirm their attendance at future meetups. It just automates the whole process and makes it so much easier for everyone. Any ideas of stuff that may be of use to us on the site?

!yorkshirebronies @trister Oh yeah, next meetup could be in a month's time! If we have a large amount of attendees again, a function room will be awesome as heck. Any ideas what you guys would want to do at the meetup?

@nerthos :D

@purplephish20 Haha, yes, just finished her a few minutes ago! The hair design is absolutely awful unfortunately, but everything else worked nicely! I didn't glue the head yet, in case a season 2 version comes up soon. An actual well designed mane would be nice!

!yorkshirebronies @durandal Well, I guess I don't live near enough to any "big" stores. I get all my ponies from meetups, or by making them myself! On a related topic: OHGODIHAVEAPROBLEM! http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6674290/IMG_0834.JPG

@undeadtaz +1

!yorkshirebronies Yeah, anyone with Uni connections may be able to get us a place in Sheffield, York, Leeds or anywhere else within range of most of us. That would be cool. Otherwise a projector and a room could also work!

!yorkshirebronies Apparently also that cinema in the Light, right near the restaurant we went to, allows private hire of its screening rooms. Without ringing up I can't find much out, but I bet it will be pricey...

!yorkshirebronies Been doing some very half-arsed 5 minute research again. It does look to be quite far from Leeds city centre but so far, it looks feasable. Prices don't look half bad either! http://www.cottageroad.co.uk/privatehire.php http://g.co/maps/xwq77

@trister @elscire !yorkshirebronies Right, I'll keep that in mind. What do you reckon the price limit per person should be? The lower the price the better. I'd be happy personally if I could find something for £20 or less each, but some people may want to spend less, which is understandable.
-
@trister Well, both bowling and the meal cost like £200 each if I remember correctly. Averaging £15 each for the meal and £11 for bowling, the whole day (excluding travel and shirts) cost us about £25 each, I am guessing. Time to see if function rooms / private cinemas can be had for a similar price. Remember kids, the more of us that go, the less we have to pay each!
-
!yorkshirebronies @mattus701 Holy crap, an actual cinema screen? :D If we could have a mare-athon... Just think of the possibilities!
-
!yorkshirebronies @wychwood Hah, yeah, we all surround Leeds! I vote Leeds for default location! Question is, do we ever want variation or do we want to almost always meet up there?
Thursday, 02-Feb-12 18:44:45 UTC from web -
@trister Awesome, thanks!
-
!yorkshirebronies Is still early days, so nothing is anywhere near certain, but I'm just looking at the map, wondering about good places for meetups. It seems that anywhere above the Leeds area is a whole bunch of nothingness for many miles. Sheffield is always an option providing there is a lot of interest from the !midlands, and York has been suggested to me before. I'm currently trying to find any function rooms with internet and a projector in York, but having little success (most likely because I'm not putting much effort into my search). Any locations / venue suggestions would be nice if you have ever thought about this before, too!

!yorkshirebronies Ok, I have a plan! Click the link which I will paste at the bottom of this message, hit the big red EDIT button on the left, search for your home town, right click the red marker that is over your town and click "Add a placemark". Name it as your RDN name or whatever and then we can all use this to see who is where! Be sure to hit Save where the EDIT button used to be! http://maps.google.co.uk/maps/ms?msid=207883910633223854902.0004b7dc65df8087f8aa6&msa=0&ll=53.925486,-1.822817&spn=0.084807,0.264187
