  1. @metaltao Those filthy "scientists" need to go back to their roots, and re-consider that matter is made of four elements. It's called the atomic THEORY because it has no evidence.

  2. @metaltao Their alchemy is blasphemous against the one true abrahamic lord. They are even taking themselves seriously, and organizing, ever since that one loon released his book The Sceptical Chymist.

  3. @metaltao Maybe, one day, I'll be able to glance at a new formula and memorize it as quickly as I understand it, again. I miss the old days where you learned basic ideas like "2x = 10" rather than massive formulas. New fangled science.

  4. @metaltao Yep. Fixed lvbot so I can go back to the memory tab. From what I've noticed, it's about how much you're able to focus on something. It's hard to focus on a single number or word, but if you try to, say, make a story or picture out of it, then it's much easier to remember. Both because you focused on it, more, and because you have a new memory that says the same thing.

  5. @metaltao I haven't read much on the championships themselves, but I'm guessing they do things like memorize long strings of numbers, and the order of shuffled decks of cards. (I know there's one big competition, thing, where people /only/ memorize the order of a deck of cards). I mostly just wanna speed up how fast I'm studying, since I understand the material easily, but a lot of it is slow memorization.

  6. @metaltao I was studying up on memorization techniques used in memory-championships, then I noticed something about the censoring (I think) killed Lvbot II, and now I'm learning how to work around an ascii encoding problem.

  7. @metaltao No, the word before 'prole'. Prole, off memory, is a person of low standing / a commoner / a pleb.

  9. @metaltao Nope. Especially considering how poorly I understand the full system. The best option is probably just to accept it and find something to focus on to help relax, like more time to put everything in long-term memory, rather than risk forgetting it some years for now.

  25. @metaltao I guess the dormant tree to its left I wanted for two reasons; one to make it not the main subject in hopes of catching sky, and for the sun glaring may have rendered any capture useless. But thank you for the sharing.
