  1. @thesinistergreydragon412 Yeah, alright. Still, somepony must pull this off!

  2. @flutterpastry Or at least, dubstep.

Thursday, 29-Dec-11 21:09:21 UTC from web in context
  3. @thesinistergreydragon412 Not even money. As I said before, we could pull off the initial funding from a Kickstarter project, and have preorders through that as well.

  4. @mushi Something not as, I could say, "mushi"? :P

  5. @thesinistergreydragon412 Yep.

Thursday, 29-Dec-11 21:04:17 UTC from web in context
  6. @thesinistergreydragon412 The biggest question being is, who's going to do it? It must be done! It must! It must! But, I'm kinda ineligible. Being 15 years old and all of that. So, I'm just running around, proposing this idea to everypony, in the hopes that somepony can head it as a side project...

Thursday, 29-Dec-11 21:03:28 UTC from web in context
  7. @thesinistergreydragon412 Of course! We'd have a special animation of Pinkie popping on screen to say hello to all the bronies out there! (Of course, pending permission of the studio, but I don't see why not for a silly little throwaway line like that It's not like we're asking them to do an entire scene.

  8. @thesinistergreydragon412 And, you know what else? Special features!! We could go out and collect them ourselves, if we have to, but we will have some awesomeness. Like interviews with Jayson, and possibly Lauren.

  9. @thesinistergreydragon412 Well, I don't know about the colors. But the watermark-free 1080p is for sure.

Thursday, 29-Dec-11 20:57:28 UTC from web in context
  10. @flutterpastry And Friendship. Can't forget the Friendship.

Thursday, 29-Dec-11 20:57:00 UTC from web in context
  11. @thesinistergreydragon412 Without the watermarks, and with truer colors than can be broadcasted.

Thursday, 29-Dec-11 20:56:25 UTC from web in context
  12. @thesinistergreydragon412 Well, the artwork would still be Shout!'s domain. Then again, we could probably supply the artwork. What I was thinking the main benefit would be is that we could specifically request Blu-ray boxsets. Those would have ridiculous quality, beyond what has been available anywhere on the internet.

Thursday, 29-Dec-11 20:53:00 UTC from web in context
  13. @thesinistergreydragon412 Exactly.

Thursday, 29-Dec-11 20:52:47 UTC from web in context
  14. @thesinistergreydragon412 Which means it reduces the need for a larger run. Because we're not entirely sure there's even 10,000 bronies right now. Probably closer to 5,000.

Thursday, 29-Dec-11 20:48:39 UTC from web in context
  15. @thesinistergreydragon412 Yeah, and they won't waste resources on sending boxsets to every store, when most of them are not even near a brony community.

Thursday, 29-Dec-11 20:47:50 UTC from web in context
  16. @flutterpastry Even better! You can feed the profit into more ponies, and get even more profit! And magnets! And ponies!

Thursday, 29-Dec-11 20:46:48 UTC from web in context
  17. @thatonepony My argument is indeed invalid...

Thursday, 29-Dec-11 20:45:46 UTC from web in context
  18. @thesinistergreydragon412 Or you can run off. Eh. Have fun!

Thursday, 29-Dec-11 20:45:07 UTC from web in context
  19. @thesinistergreydragon412 So what we do, is we become a retailer. We set up shop online, and get Shout! to make us a boxset. We can pay for a smaller run, which we could efficiently sell online to bronies all over the planet! If we need initial funding, we can get it from a brony supported Kickstarter project.

Thursday, 29-Dec-11 20:44:35 UTC from web in context
  20. @thesinistergreydragon412 Ok, so Hasbro sold exclusive home video rights to Shout! Factory, right? So they're the only ones worth pestering, it's even out of Hasbro's hands. But they won't make it, due to the fact that the smallest profitable run they've ever made was 10,000 for a project of this scale, which was then sent out to retailers. So they can't really recommend it to the retailers, and the retailers don't understand any opportunity there.

  21. @thesinistergreydragon412 Listen to my proposal on what the brony community needs to do to make Hasbro put out a season boxset? I'd like that. #

  22. @thesinistergreydragon412 Run around like the CMC's in search of something to do? I bet you haven't tried hang gliding yet! #

  23. @thesinistergreydragon412 I dunno. Learn Polish, so you can properly appreciate and laugh at a certain male Spitfire? #

  24. @ecmc1093 Pretty good.

  25. @thesinistergreydragon412 That's pretty much what I'd have to do for that kind of thing. I used to play piano, but I've fallen out of practice with the discovery of cooler instruments. Like guitar and saxophone. Which I am still playing, fairly actively, on both accounts. I'm part of my school's Jazz Ensemble, and part of a ..."band" that my roommate formed out of some really randomness. That's yet to be seen if it'll remain active, at all.

  26. @tenmihara Are the wheels still round, or triangle.

Thursday, 29-Dec-11 20:25:52 UTC from web in context
  27. @tenmihara Hi!

Thursday, 29-Dec-11 20:23:55 UTC from web in context
  28. @thesinistergreydragon412 And it was pretty good. But I think to achieve excellence, you need something more structured. Or maybe not, I'm not a professional critic of piano music. How did you record that?

Thursday, 29-Dec-11 20:23:47 UTC from web in context
  29. @chuu Not really, no. Got a smartphone, that was sort of exciting. Met up with a few of my relatives for the first time since summer. But nothing really exciting, no. Still a good holiday. Good to be home, not really needing to do anything. Hanging out with my older sister, that kinda thing.

Thursday, 29-Dec-11 20:20:37 UTC from web in context
  30. @thesinistergreydragon412 Already found both. Piano # is pretty good, but it kinda exposes to me why the older composers went on forever. Piano music works best as a theme or motif explored out to it's farthest extents, more than a collection of unrelated ideas. Or, very vaguely related at best.
