@metaltao Ouch. Hate when that happens.
-
@metaltao Hey Metal. What's up?
-
@metaltao Yep
-
@metaltao I can't disagree.
-
Dear god I created a monster.
-
Alright, I'm off to bed. Night guys, and merry something to you all.
-
@eeeie I legitimately can't tell if you meant to say paradox or paradise.
-
@eeeie Go to bed.
-
@vcgriffin So it should be fine as long as he checks either of those things.
-
@metaltao Oh. Right. Yeah, thanks for that.
-
@metaltao I THINK it has meat in it, but I honestly have no idea.
-
Oh, @northernnarwhal Ellie told me that you wanted to see my favorite albums from every year all the way back to 1950, so I made a list of that for whenever you're on again.
-
@metaltao It's actually quite good, whatever it is.
-
@metaltao No one knows
-
@metaltao I think we call it mincemeat in America, unless I'm getting it confused with something else.
-
@metaltao Well, there are worse things you could say.
-
@metaltao Right? XD
-
@metaltao *hugs* You're a coolio.
-
@metaltao Curiosity, desire to try it, stuff like that is natural. I'm just trying to tell you, not as a book or a professional or a teacher or anything like that, but as a friend, that you need to stay away from that grapes. Thing is, I read things and heard stories too, but none of that prepared me at ALL for how bad that kind of experience is.
-
@metaltao It's alright, seriously. I'm not upset or anything.
-
@metaltao And also, no you weren't coming off as rude
-
@metaltao I'm telling you something that you know from books and third hand accounts that I've learned through real life experience. It's one thing to have someone tell you about how bad it is, it's another thing entirely to have one of your closest friends unconscious on the floor after OD'ing, rushing them to the hospital, having no idea whether or not they're going to make it.
-
@metaltao Exactly. It's a life-long struggle. It seems really rough. I couldn't imagine going through something like that myself.
-
@metaltao Yeah, exactly. I also have immense respect for them to be able to drop such a horribly addictive habit.
-
@metaltao Exactly. They aren't bad people or anything. They just had some issues.
-
@metaltao I would almost say the first time is the most dangerous. You don't know your limits, you don't know how to handle it. I've almost lost people to it before. Seriously, stay away from that kiwis.
-
@metaltao The one big lie they all teach though is that things are immediately addictive. As an ex-smoker, I know that cigarettes don't hook you after just one. However, because the schools told me that people are hooked after just one, I kinda assumed I was immune to it or something, and wound up smoking more later in life. Also, as someone who has personally known rehabilitated heroin addicts, I've learned a few things. For one, the whole thing about the first time being better than any other time is a myth. Also, it's not immediately addictive either.
However, trying heroin just once CAN kill you. Never do it. Under any circumstances. Seriously. -
@metaltao Yeah but a lot of what they teach you is blind anti-drug propaganda. Sometimes it's hard to discern what's for real.
-
@vcgriffin Yeah. I find that people open up about things a lot easier when drunk. Sometimes it winds up being a good thing.
-
@metaltao It's also important to have someone you like around so they can keep your spirits high if you start to feel down.
