@dirb @iajasom @hiroyuki That seems to be the case,
@karolat "ser" is equivalent to the English "be" in the context of the nature of something. "estar" is for when you use it in the context of the presence of something.
An example of "ser": el trapito es puto (the trap is gay)
An example of "estar": la robowaifu está en la mente de dirb (the robowaifu is in dirb's mind) -
-
@dirb @hiroyuki @karolat Creo que lo adoptaron en los últimos años. Históricamente fue un término Cordobés.
No sigo con mucho interés los cambios idiomáticos de Chile ya que de por si es imposible entender que dicen. -
@dirb @hiroyuki @karolat Shows how little education you have, any learned man knows the term is "boludo" or "culiao" if it's a Cordobese.
-
@hiroyuki A eso me refería
-
-
-
@hiroyuki Funnily enough I don't use the word outside of the role of "hey" when requesting someone's attention IRL
-
-
@hiroyuki @karolat @dirb I'd advise against teaching idioms to someone who's just starting with the language, it'll only confuse him later on when he interacts with someone from a different country.

@mono You can't honestly say that in a world where there are 6 year old "transgender" kids it'd be unlikely that pederasty came back.
20 years ago? sure, unthinkable. Nowadays, not so much. Those that'd in a context of public opinion tilt the scales in favour of protecting children from sexual abuse are quickly aging. -
I intend to keep the J700 as a backup and get it fixed properly as soon as I can get someone to lend me a bench hot air gun, it has only minor damage and having a backup is never a bad thing.
-
@mono Pederasty was common in many cultures in ancient days, though it was phased out in most of them. Won't surprise me if it comes back around in the current climate of absolute degeneracy though.
-
@wowaname I'm very pleased with the original J700 model, my only complaints about it are construction that doesn't lend itself well to repairs and microusb port instead of sturdier miniusb, though those two things are common to all brands and models nowadays.
-
@mono Oh I'm aware of that. I'm just making a comment on how Japan isn't a society going through its agony spasms yet.
Gotta know all of this stuff if you want to avoid the big gay. -
@hiroyuki @awg That too! though I guess my knife has one built in, even if it has no battery right now.
-
@mono A more civilized land
-
@2iceloops123 A classic, though I have never found the source, if there's any.

because they're trans you kiwiin FOOLS https://Fluffle Puffposter.club/attachment/2817648

@delores >The year of our Lord 2018
>Still not getting that the difference between a tranny and a trap is that the tranny thinks of himself as a girl while the trap thinks of himself as a dude in a girl disguise
It's not that hard. -
@nerthos if you find yourself calling a 12 year old girl in a cartoon a trap (purposely sexualized word) you're gonna get the rope
-
@delores Sorry not into bdsm but I'm flattered by your proposal.
I call girls girls, boys boys, and traps gay.

I changed probably 20 settings in Windows that do God knows what. My security is probably leaking like a sieve.
-
@moonman unplug the lan wire and suddenly 100% secure

@lizzeboof @awg Hey, the original j7 was extremely reliable. I'm only moving off it because I don't have the tools to properly repair damage caused by accident. If I had all the tools for disassembling it (banana koreans and their glue assembly) I'd change the screen glass and fix the usb port. Literally the only thing that phone lacked for being eternal was using the much sturdier mini usb over the 50% chance to break micro usb port.
-
@awg And yet I have something that fulfills all of that. I don't use it like a normie does, however I have an use for it and it'd be irrational to ditch it.
A laptop with adequate performance and that doesn't run only in win 10 is not only irrationally expensive here but also pretty much nonexistant, so phone is the thing for when I'm not home. -
@normandy @nerthos 7 is actually the best, 2000 holds a special place because it was the first Windows OS without technical compromises.
-
@moonman @normandy 7 is the best choice out of what's available, and considerably more stable than XP. However aesthetically it suffers a lot and needs quite a bit of tweaking to not be horrible. Too much "are you sure you want to run this?" and "you can't access this folder unless you mess with the settings" tard treatment too.

@awg Tell me what device I can use instead as a portable media player, games platform, calculator, alarm, music player, web browser, flash drive, agenda and emergency contact device.
-
I think I'm going to get a samsung j7 pro next to replace my current j7 that needs repair. Any suggestions otherwise or other models with a similar price but better specs?
-
@normandy Windows XP was a much more polished version of Windows 2000, with extra drivers and stuff to make it more complete as opposed to an OS for office workers.
All windows versions are pretty much the previous one but with a few updates anyway. -
@normandy It was a comparable jump to 3.1 to 95 really. One of those weird, not -quite-functional-yet era hops.
-
@kro Why are you sending so many padorus

@tedtv You can't fight if you're puking uncontrollably
