  3. John de Lancie is freakin' great as Discord, that's some really smart casting. I avoided spoilers throughout, so when I heard that laugh, I was like 'wait wait wait. Wait. Wait. Is that Q?', and it IS.

  4. @greydragon412 Depends. Do you have a concussion, under the influence of any mind altering substance? If the answer to both of these things is 'no', then yeah, something's wrong.

  6. @purpletinker Putting 1,500 miles on a 21 year old car when your money wanes a lot faster than you'd like is a bad idea.

  7. Welp. Wrapped up the only gig I had left. Pffffffffffft. Now what? Videogames? I do have Red Orchestra 2, which is pretty awesome. Ponies? Oh man I have like seven episodes left to watch on my third time through Se1. I need to get on that.

  8. @ladestitute They way it's in there with no damage to the car, someone did this intentionally. But /how/?

  10. @ladestitute Yeah. I spent about an hour in a boat last night, just meandering around the ocean on my servers map, BSing in vent the whole time. It was a pretty good time. Though my adventure probably tripled the map size, whoops.

  15. Picked up Lily Blossom today. Let her hair set while I was at the gym. I didn't plan on buying her, but when I saw her, I decided she was pretty enough to snag. Still looking for Flutterheart, I am going to be so stoked when I find her. http://ur1.ca/53k9d

  16. @leonkfox In 2005, Samoa Joe and Kenta Kobashi had a match in the states, under Ring of Honor. That was when Samoa Joe was the biggest name in indie wrestling, and Kenta Kobashi was the biggest name in Japanese wrestling. It was pretty freakin' epic, definitely the best thing I've seen out of ROH. It's still floating around the internet, I'm sure you can snag a copy of it somewhere. I'm pretty sure I'm getting back into wrestling. Just finished up this NJPW card, and thoroughly enjoyed it.

  17. So all this debate about what Octavia plays, and how there's no consensus? Seeing as both instruments are played in the bass clef and her cutie mark is a treble clef, I'm willing to bet it's because whoever designed her didn't know the difference between a double bass, and a cello. They just made put a large, four stringed instrument in her hooves, and called that, that.

  18. @leonkfox I wish TNA hadn't made his contract exclusive. I'd love to see him back in Ring of Honor.

  20. @cabal Is this about the Faust interview? That's a great read. Lauren Faust is a rare person, she's genuinely honest and passionate, I'm stoked that she's doing what she does, both because she enjoys it, and because she does awesome work.

  21. @dezzierose I just know TV. I wake up and get the broadcast overnight ratings. Keeping tabs on the TV world is a hobby of mine, so when I'm talking about it, it's easy to think I'm smart. I assure you I'm not.

  22. @abigpony It's easy to see things when you're aware of it, and when you're in an environment where those things are relevant. People talking about cartoons in animation class? That's almost as crazy as people talking about Jiu Jitsu at a martial arts gym! Try an experiment; You know Saturn cars? Start looking for them, when you're out, be on the lookout for them. If you do this, you'll see a lot of Saturn cars because you're now aware of them, and it's easier to notice things when you're aware of it.

  23. @abigpony It's not that popular. If it were popular people in TV circles would be talking about it, it doesn't even rank on the Nielsen top 100. To us, it seems popular because we're immersed in it, but to the average citizen, it's this anomalous blip on the cultural radar.

  24. @leonkfox They're well seeded on Pro Wrestling Torrents. I think they have open registrations right now, get on that if you don't already have an account.

  25. @abigpony Seriously dude, even if you don't like it, you can't deny the guys doing it are athletes. Joe Seanoa is a huge guy who can throw dudes around a ring for 20 minutes, and Kenta Kobashi is a beast of human being. The guy's listed as 6'0" 260, and he's all muscle. There's a lot of athleticism in professional wrestling.

  26. @leonkfox Yeah, New Japan Pro Wrestling, Pro Wrestling NOAH, and Ring of Honor were the circuits I kept up with. Used to watch TNA, but TNA's gone way downhill, I won't even bother trying to pick it up again.

Friday, 16-Sep-11 00:42:00 UTC from web in context
  27. @abigpony The pretend kind, but the cats doing the pretend wrestling aren't lesser athletes than the people doing wrestling and mixed martial arts. A lot of people in professional wrestling train in martial arts disciplines, and they train just as hard as the guys in the UFC.

  30. @leonkfox Oh, you can still play it on the Dreamcast, Gamecube, and the PC, just not on any official servers. Someone runs PSO servers that can emulate both the Dreamcast, and PC servers, so if you have the ethernet adapter for the Dreamcast, or a copy of PSO Blue Burst, you can still get your PSO on.
