@pony I'm speaking in terms of the figure of speech, in which case it's entirely situational. And I'm saying in the context of the gun law fighting guns with more guns isn't the way to go about it.

@pony No country's perfect. But I still think fighting fire with fire is not the way to go with the gun issue in America. Although maybe as a foreigner it's not my place to speak.

@pony A lot of things can be considered a violent crime. Me going out and punching someone can be considered a violent crime. That's not gonna kill them though.

@pony Yeah except I'd rather be attacked by someone I can potentially overpower than shot from a distance.

@pony Do some research then. Guns are almost impossible to get over here and require serious identification and paperwork to own, criminals don't pass the checks and don't get guns.
