New to the series as well as the community, I thought it was a bit silly at first, but the way this fandom has grown has really intrigued me.
I've never been part of a social network before, so this is new to me.

@starshine Oh, it's not my favorite song either. :p I like all of the musical queues in this show. Winter Wrapup is my favorite. Art of Dress is a real earworm, though.

@starshine I'd agree, but Art of Dress is a really good song as well. I can't decide which is better, but in terms of actual content Dog and Pony Show probably is better.

@ickus That's from over-egotistic and pseudo-intellectuals individuals experiencing the lovely human angst. I'm not setting anything I said in stone, I'm saying I'm not really sure where I stand on the matter. I only get the chance to experience one life (as far as I'm aware) and I can't really compare it to any others.

@starshine Some sort of psychology course? I'm sort of interested. If you say it was for a report, essay, or article I'm going to be sad, though.

@ickus No, that is not what I intended to imply. But you may feel that way and if you do you simply do. I don't have final thoughts on the matter, it's kind of up there for me.

@starshine I am a bit disturbed, but I do stand by my perceptions of people online. I sort of study behavior of individuals and groups online. Not formally, but for my own interests and entertainment.

@ickus I have mixed thoughts on the matter. Do you value steps towards a successful and knowledge-filled life or a life of not-knowing-much, but being happy with yourself.

@ickus It's simply ignorance, but there is an honest reason the phrase "Ignorance is bliss" exists. The world seemed like a much nicer place before I began actually learning how things really worked.

@starshine I liked it for the plot. Also, been interneting since I was like 12. And I'm still not mentally ready, according to most people, to view most of the things I've witnessed (Still a minor). Not sure if this is good.

@starshine I didn't say liking, but there seems to be a bit of an overreaction to cupcakes and the like. Especially with banter concerning people NOT TO READ IT OMG. And people stating it's the pinnacle of grimdark, whilst it is clearly not. Thanks to more friendly sites like KYM introducing people to the series and even having their own OMG CUPCAKES IS HORRIBLE page it has led a lot of unhardened people to read it and post in disgust and if anyone considers reading it they'll jump on them and boast about how terrible it is. And if someone is interested based on that they're in for a little disappointment because it gets over-exaggerated.

@starshine I started the internet with GameFAQs. :p Also convinced to watch pony through IRC friend, eventually loved it, googled pony imageboard, found ponychan link page, found all these places.

@starshine Regardless, the point stands as I feel most people with a longer-internet exposure generally stumble upon grimdark things. This is a silly argument.

@starshine I'm going by more of a web-slang definition rather than a literal, but then perhaps I could pull up things like Usenet and IRC networks.

@starshine What I meant was pretty much everything past mainstream and social networking sites like Youtube and Facebook. The twistedness may vary and change, but there's an aspect of it in every net community outside of and in those sites.

@nvrrmbr I'd need links. Mine was in CV's top 16 faves. I thought my fic was kind of dumb, but apparently some other people thought it was hilarious. I just played it to see what'd happen.
