@communistprime :D I think a lot of my problem was the first few maps it generated weren't so good. (no trees for miles!) Then I tried typing "Twilight Sparkle" into the seed, and that's actually pretty workable. The spawn point is a narrow bit of sand next to a big cliff face, so I dug into it and built myself a huge cave-shelter; and there's a lot of trees and stuff on top of the cliff so I don't have to wander very far to find things. :)
