@snowcone Basically how I see it, making an oc for an already established universe means that you have to create your character to FIT in said universe, which means sticking by the rules of it. This means that having an alicorn that isn't royalty doesn't fit in the universe, as alicorns are strictly princes/princesses. Of course, this doesn't mean you CAN'T make an alicorn oc, but I'd advice creating them as royalty, even though people would raise an eyebrow at that (imo, making your oc royal is fine as long as they're not as powerful as Celestia/Luna/Twilight). Though, it doesn't really matter. It's just for fun
