on my !friendica I had trouble with !twitter (but that was due to my server), but thankfully the twitterbridge in statusnet worked :-) didn't use the facebook bridge at all. well, that situation is nothing new: e.g. I know that from when I ran my !friendica I wouldn't update that fast either, and other friendica admins who did, would report problems and also: wonder why? In #private environment my motto is more: do !not change a running system cc @question

ich würde bei SN's Design immer dran denken, dass alles auf "offen" konzipiert ist. Wenn du mehr gezieltere Addressaten-postings willst, nutz' !friendica (wobei es nie einen Schutz gibt, dass deine postings trotzdem von andren gelesen werden: dein admin; der hoster der Instanz deines admins; jemand, der die Leitung anzapft, ...)

Well, the love between #friendica and #statusnet is growing better nowadays (#pubsubhubbub fix (1), enabling SN clients also for friendica (2)), than when Mike and Evan "fought" against each other. Laurel, #friendica can do all 3 of those already, only the sending/receiving to #statusnet needs improvement (btw they can do also many other services like diaspora, ...), look at this directory: https://github.com/friendica/friendica-addons

summary of this issue: user gets his !friendica messages to #statusnet, but the msgs from SN don't reach his friendica. @heluecht@status.pirati.ca explains that the SN connector is basically only a posting plugin right now, in theory friendica supports !ostatus protocol but there are some problems. Michael explains that he plans to improve this (mostly fixing the #twitter plugin and copy+paste then into SN connector, but it may take some time) cc @question
