OK, NSFW hashtag-spoilering now works in Classic #GNUSocial on mangoposter Club too. I didn't try it for videos, but it works for pictures.

@mmn Is there any reason that notice objects in #GNUSocial don't already include tags? I hacked the getter to add them in so I could expose them to the JSON encoder and use them on the client side in Qvitter, but I'm not sure if there's some way I should be doing this in a plugin rather than hacking on core.
I am guessing that because they add an extra sql query to every notice request that it's just too big of a performance hit unless you need tags for a specific reason? -

anyhoos in the ongoing #GNUSocial #NSFW spoilering code mission, I'll probably add a div to the attachment layer that has a css rule that when clicked, disappears. There will be a menu option to default to no spoilering that just adjusts the css using javascript. If you're looking forward to this you're already on Qvitter so don't complain about me doing things in JS.

Bloquear un nodo en #gnusocial si tienes un nodo. Un ejemplo: iptables -A INPUT -s 189.149.36.192 -j DROP; iptables -A OUTPUT -s 189.149.36.192 -j DROP; iptables -S y a tomar por culo.

Despertando un sábado cualquiera y veo mucha participación en #gnusocial, temas nuevos, respuestas, retos y planteamientos, entonces conclusión : no es sábado cualquiera. Buenos días chachos y chachas.

En un mundo tan frenético como es hoy en día, y más en medios digitales y sobre todo informáticos como es recientemente, tenemos el reto y la complejidad de querer probar, abarcar, ensayar y sobre todo llegar hasta los extremos todas las aplicaciones de mensajería instantánea como sea posible.
La idea que se me ocurrió hoy y en vista de los tantos modelos que se lanzan como proyecto de tantas formas, colores, y opciones, consiste en que mantengamos unos de ellos en marcha tanto tiempo sea posible.
Obviamente el que mas predomina por ahora es #gnusocial y #xmpp, pero si se abre otro modelo o si se implementa otra vía, otra técnica pues que sea siempre también pensando para medio y largo plazo, a ser posible.
Sería muy muy pero muy gratificante pasar el tiempo y ver como estos modelos que si bien fueron moda y puede ser que lo deje de ser todavía se mantenga en algún rincón, como muestra, como punto de reunión, como prueba y sobre todo como experiencia para todos.
¿Los ejemplos más claros? Las #bbs, o sobre todo el #irc que nunca se muere, pues hagamos varios protocolos más para que tampoco mueran, #xmpp, #gnusocial para empezar y los que consideren a continuación... -

I wish a feature that could allow to hide groups and hash tags in the message.
# and ! hurt readability, and unlike simple hyperlinks, that can and should be used in text for cross referencing material, the hash sign and exclamation mark make the groups and tags stand out too much from the text. The message becomes a parody of itself and resembles the brain those posts with overused hash tags.
Posting the tags or groups above or below the text is a bit insulting for the readers who subscribed to you, but dislike some tags.
— Ha! I shove these tags in your face, and you read this post, though you dislike it!
The problem is actually in subscribing to everything at once, what a person posts. But ‘disliking’ feature kills social networks and hence, is not an option.
Thus, the solution is to hide the tags from the reader, making a post just regular *funpost*, not standing out from the mass and leaving to the reader to create an opinion – such post would probably still disliked, but it won’t be so irritating. The presence of tags, though, still should be present, but hidden behind one click. Make an unobtrusive slanting stripe in the corner a-la ‘fork me on github’ but empty. The presence of such stripe would mean hidden tags and a click on that corner would expand them. The more hidden tags will be used, the more usual to the sight they will become. Actually, it would be better to use them by default, so they would instantly become a usual thing, and use open tags only when it is explicitly needed. -
A good client wouldn't need a Twitter bridge installed, it could just simultaneously post to both Twitter and #GNUSocial. I haven't even investigated what tools might be available for that, but at the very least I could jerry-rig a shell script to hit both Oysttyer and Curl at the same time with the same content.

Hace dos o tres días alguien dijo que #gnusocial se le estaba aburriendo. Pues mira por donde que este fin de semana encontré o saqué dos o tres temas interesantes. Y eso por que no nos picamos lo suficiente o respondemos a tiempo. Porque temas, respuestas hilos y observaciones finas las hay donde uno quiera, claro. Hay que dejar de tener tanto miedo al teclado, no muerde, y por otro lado hay que olvidarse un poco de las formas, de los protocolos y de las presentaciones. En otras palabras : hay que cometer errores, hay que equivocarse y hay que dejarse llevar por el mas estricto o absoluto control de lo dicho o por decir. De esto me acabo no solo de dar cuenta sino de confirmar con otro hilo donde hablan de blogs, copias, derechos de autor, y otros menesteres. #loteniaquedecir

Es cierto que de una forma u otra todos necesitamos un mínimo de clicks, al menos casi solo por saber, ver y comprobar que alguien nos lee, que estamos vivos y que nos siguen las palabras, quizás alguna idea, y algunos incluso la tendencia (que es su mas claro objetivo que otra cosa). Luego hay muchos otros que esto no le dan tanta ni tanta importancia, incluso iría mas lejos, ni le conviene ni le favorece tener tantos clicks, ni tanta fama ni tanta repercusión, no señores no, no conviene aunque suene a utópico. Como aquel mágico momento en la tv donde un viejo con pelo blanco dijo : "yo aquí he venido a hablar de mi libro...", pues los blogs, #gnusocial y otras redes libres viene a ser esa solución, esa vía y sobre todo esa posibilidad innegable para cualquier persona. ¿Que luego me das un click? Pues vale pues me alegro pero no me vaciles, yo por uno o mil clicks se que quiero decir, incluso mas: se que no he podido decir todavía, o se que no quiero decir tampoco todavía porque es un poco pronto y necesito ver otros cambios y otros datos. Los clicks ayuda de una forma u otra a comprobar que estamos "vivos", es como cuando haces un ping en la red, ¡hola mundo!. ping dominio.com, si te responden es que estas bien, meramente bien. /cc @notxor
