I used my 1st statusnet instance back then as a bridge to #twitter and #identi.ca, I posted mainly from !friendica - I didn't know/show much interest back then about SN internals (no queuedaemons, no xmpp, ...)

True is: I have seen in my #identi.ca (since Dec 2010) time 3-4 major clashes between people which involved a large group of users participating (e.g. one was the: "user told my pwd", the other about the porn pic, the others I don't remember ;-))

Bei mir war der Effekt auch so: am Anfang niemand, den ich kannte. Bis sich separate Gruppen/Kontakte auf #twitter, !friendica, #identi.ca ergaben. Und irgendwann merkte ich, die "freien" waren mehr meine Wellenlänge :-)

you must be looking at a cache ? because I remember I changed that a few days ago, but you're right: for months it was #identi.ca <- deserves the twitter users to get sent to identi.ca :-)

my guess is that those returning to home base #twitter came also from there to #identi.ca (and used meanwhile the #twitterbridge) and after #identicalypse "just" returned :-( or let's say so: returned to where their friends still are, #sheep

yeah :-( it's not entirely #Evan's "fault". The scared, put-off #identi.ca users could just look out for other communities, software (like #statusnet or #friendica), not sure if it's only "laziness" or the lost #trust (in #opensource run things). #otoh each one of us can do more PR for such communities/software: the failure to do that helps in the end big silos like #twitter (not sure if comparing it to the elections is a good analogy: people who do #not vote will get hurt in the end)
