  1. @coltonrawrr oh heck no. I'm not that patient.. I just made a hack that purdy-fies RDN. @minti is the genius behind !Mintrefresh

  2. Using !mintrefresh in Firefox on a clean install of Windows 7. I feel so weird..

  3. To non-coder !Mintrefresh users reading this, in order to set a custom background for RDN, you would just need to copy the code linked in my dash, open up your Greasemonkey/Tampermonkey settings, double-click "Mint Reresh Alpha", find the code about half-way into the script that matches the beginning of the text in the attachment, and replace the entire matching block (right up until "// Saves all settings") with the copied code in my link. You can change the URL in the attached text to any image URL, but if you want it to tile the image you have to change "no-repeat" to "repeat-y". This is a preview: http://i.tylian.net/oO0bl6.jpg Here's the code link again: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1pZip-5AxGgw0cjwrkk8hJyAJM__6IGLxQLHYAcPiU58/edit

  4. !Coderpony I couldn't figure out how to make site-specific user stylesheet modifications in Chrome. As far as I can tell no site-specific syntax is recognized in Chrome (unlike Firefox)... I may have missed something in Chrome's inline editor that might let me permanently alter how I view RDN, but I also failed to figure that out. As far as I can tell, the inline editor is not like a user stylesheet in that way since it requires access to the original document to make permanent changes, so... Rather than go to the effort of learning how to create my own Tampermonkey script, etc., I decided to hack @minti's already oh-so cleverly coded !Mintrefresh. My modifications were crude, but effective so I've decided to post the modified function in case anypony is interested in using it. I don't intend this as a recommendation for !Mintrefresh, but I wouldn't object to it being used/adapted if Minti wants. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1pZip-5AxGgw0cjwrkk8hJyAJM__6IGLxQLHYAcPiU58/edit

  5. @crusader8 yeah.. I wouldn't go through the trouble of encoding spoilers if it weren't for !Mintrefresh. It only works on Chrome and Firefox, but it's a huge help on RDN

  6. @minti hey when i install your !mintrefresh should uninstall rdnrefresh?

Sunday, 04-Mar-12 22:38:50 UTC from web in context
  7. @pony Yeah, that's why I didn't add them to !mintrefresh. The only use is if you want to auto-decode spoilers. xD

  13. @minti Nice job on the new version of !mintrefresh - though the text formatting "buttons" are odd now.

  15. !mintrefresh Change log: Added 'In Context' links to posts (lol @princesshugs), optimized the crap out of it. Also some other stuff I probably don't remember. *goes to check*

  19. @axelgunn xD Not much, just woke up. Looking into making !mintrefresh compatable with IE/Trixie (lol) Ew IE x.x

  20. @ceruleanspark that's what I'm thinking too.. or maybe some weird syntactical incompatibility. !RDNrefresh won't even load in Trixie whereas !Mintrefresh loads, but doesn't appear to have any effect. meh.. That's why i like Chrome best.

  21. @gingersnap360 okidoke.. so IE is not an option if you want to use either of the refresh scripts. You could use an auto-refresher for IE, but I don't think that's a good idea unless you really hate clicking or hitting F5. If you can get Chrome or Firefox those are your best bets, but I understand that's up to your sister since it's her computer. :P Well.. Sorry I couldn't be much help.. Maybe the creator of !Mintrefresh @minti wouldn't mind looking into making his script compatible with Trixie, but that's probably a low priority right now to say the least.

  22. !mintrefresh Apparently I didn't fix the duplicate post bug. Whaaat. D:

  23. !mintrefresh is too fash and has a bunch of bugs. !rdnrefresh is too laggy, but reliable. maybe i should run both in tandem? xP

  24. @mixer id.gf/rdnrefresh or !mintrefresh. The instructions on the RDN Refresh page work for both. RDN Refresh has more customization, Mint Refresh is cleaner.

  25. @mixer not if you want !rdnrefresh or !mintrefresh

Tuesday, 28-Feb-12 00:59:29 UTC from web in context
  26. !mintrefresh Massive optimization. Check! Halved the processing time for about 70% of the script! # Also in context links.

  30. @pl0bber if you are using chrome, install something called tampermonkey and for firefox use greasemonkey. go to !mintrefresh or !rdnrefresh and install !mintrefresh for chrome and !rdnrefresh for firefox for best experince.
