  14. @thatonepony I just don't understand unboxing videos of extremely common, low value items. Unboxing a $6000 computer, or some hard to come by item of electronics yes, cheap plastic ponies, no.

  15. @thatonepony RDN is controlled by canadians. And the whole MLP show is voiced by canadians and produced in vancouver XD

    • Am I alive??

Saturday, 11-Feb-12 21:38:47 UTC from web
    • @dangaertner7 well it's more about friends getting together than a specific event I think. Artists come to show off and sell their works, we have dances at some of them. live DJ's, strobe lights, that sort of thing. It's pretty fun

Saturday, 11-Feb-12 21:01:04 UTC from IdentiCurse
    • @dangaertner7 do you ever come to the NYC meetups?

      • I haven't watched the new episode yet, i usually watch them on youtube a few days after it comes out

Saturday, 11-Feb-12 18:27:16 UTC from IdentiCurse
      • @mrdragon do you chat on any irc channels? i hang out on those more often than rdn

Saturday, 11-Feb-12 10:32:00 UTC from IdentiCurse
      • mr dragon i'm pretty pleased with identicurse so far. It updates the feed instantaniously, unlike the website which takes a long moment to refresh. Only thing is it runs in a unix terminal so you have to be able to deal with that lol

Saturday, 11-Feb-12 10:31:00 UTC from IdentiCurse
      • @mrdragon anyway, i need to get to sleep, it's 5.30 here and I haven't gone to bed yet

Saturday, 11-Feb-12 10:28:52 UTC from IdentiCurse
      • @mrdragon I don't know how many exactly, it's really hard to know for sure because in the beginning user email addresses weren't being logged so there was no record of how many users. At first bronycon Cabal and I talked a lot about RDN and he told me that he thought there were around 4000 active users. There may be tons more that are inactive or duplicates

Saturday, 11-Feb-12 10:27:07 UTC from IdentiCurse
        • @elind85 yeah, I'd say plenty of duplication accounts as well. Of we are going for fully active posting around at least every two days I'd say 200 ish users to be honest, from every day sighting on here. As for active weekly maybe 500. But for total accounts 4000 sounds around a decently accurate number.

Saturday, 11-Feb-12 10:29:35 UTC in context
      • @mrdragon and since there's around 4000 users it would be a huge cost. Also, it is a huge pain to re-install thie software so unless there was some really necessary reason to switch we probably wouldn't bother changing anything. I wish there was more security features. I will ask Purple though about IP blocking. We still live together so I talk to her all the time. Most of our time lately though has been used up by bronycon

Saturday, 11-Feb-12 10:23:49 UTC from IdentiCurse
      • @mrdragon well this is the free verson of status net. The "full" version costs $3/user/month and I assume that would have more features. That would be an astrinomical cost for us to pay, and we want this service to remain free for all users

Saturday, 11-Feb-12 10:19:19 UTC from IdentiCurse
      • @mrdragon i beleive we have an email confirmation thing set up so we could track duplicate accounts, but that would only work if they used the same email address, its extremely difficult to verify identities with status net

Saturday, 11-Feb-12 10:15:00 UTC from IdentiCurse
        • @elind85 yes, you'd of thought for such a commercial software package it would be a little more secure to be honest with you. The only way I could truly think of stopping the issue would be a ip block, as well as a email block. That's to much of a pain to do by hoof every time though, unless there was a way to create software to do it for us, but even then to much work for such a trivial matter.

Saturday, 11-Feb-12 10:17:45 UTC in context
      • @mrdragon if you could give me more specifcs about these "loopholes" that would help. Tinker is sort of consumed with bronycon business nowadays, Status net is extremely limited in how much we can edit, it's kind of a pre-made package
