@awlpony Plot really doesn't matter in a Godzilla movie. Let's be honest, the real reason we watch them is to see giant monsters kick the crap out of each other.

@awlpony I never saw Godzilla vs King Kong until recently, since my girlfriend got it for me as a gift. (I am so madly in love with that woman) The movie was honestly so hard to watch because of the level of pure cheese, but it had a silly charm to it that makes it enjoyable if you're in the right mood.

@awlpony It's just I find it too goofy and kiddish compared to the others. Sure it's where it all started, but it just doesn't do it for me as much as the other series in the franchise.

@anarchycarcino When I saw Biollante on DVD after hearing NOTHING of it, I nearly had a stroke and almost punched through the DVD box when I went to grab it.

@awlpony Well, first-off there are three separate Godzilla series. There is the Showa era, which went from 1954-75, and it's honestly my least favorite. I would recommend Destroy All Monsters, Godzilla vs Hedorah, Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla, and Terror of Mechagodzilla. You COULD watch Godzilla vs Gigan if you want a good laugh. Next off is the Heisei series, which went form 84-95. Honestly, I never saw Godzilla 1984 but I absolutely love every entry in the Heisei series and I would recommend all of them. Especially Godzilla vs Destroyah. That movie still makes me cry a little bit to this day. Then there's the Millennium series, which is also great. Godzilla 200 was okay, Orga was a really cool monster but the movie's not too special. GMK was AMAZING and is my third favorite G-film. Against Mechagodzilla is great too but Tokyo SOS is my favorite Godzilla film honestly. Final Wars is a blast to see because of all the monster action. (And Kung-fu!)

Speaking of Final Wars, would anyone agree that Gigan's new design and Monster X's are among the best kaiju designs out there?

@awlpony It was the best scene in the movie. After "Zilla" gets decimated, the villain who was controlling him said "I knew that tuna-eating monster was useless." I lost it at that part.
