@widget Then that's the design flaw :D When I build services I just look at what patterns and paradigms Twitter use for their details. They are usually right.

@widget But yeah, hard to figure out at this point. I've really optimized the API end-points and this past month lowered bandwidth consumption with about 40%. I will probably leave it be for a while and focus on the new interesting features instead.
