@awesomeman1000 an arbitrary point is established in the world (Greenwich to be precise), then their 0:00 is the basis for the time in each of the 24 time zones, whose time is adjusted based on where the sun is for them in relation to where it is in an arbitrarily-agreed point (again, Greenwich). So if it's noon there, the next time zone is an hour behind because the sun hasn't hit them with noon-ness yet (position of sun, yadda yadda). So they're 11:00 and so on
